What is the Flower of Life and how can it be used?

What is the purpose of the Flower of Life?

This ancient symbol of sacred geometry is so old that its origin is not truly known. It has been found all over the world, in different periods, in various sacred buildings.

The oldest known representation to date is located in the palace of King Assurbanipal in Dur-Sharrukin in Assyria, dating back to 645 BC.

Another representation of the Flower of Life was found on one of the granite columns at the Temple of Osiris in Abydos, a city in ancient Egypt.

Abydos is the most important worship place of Osiris, the god of the Dead, and seemed to trace the passage to eternity for the ancient Egyptians. Abydos, as the cult center of Osiris, was then the main gateway to the afterlife.

The Flower of Life symbol encompasses many geometric forms such as the Platonic Solids, the Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, and Leonardo da Vinci’s famous Vitruvian Man. We enter the world of sacred geometry here. These are forms with perfect proportions, as we can contemplate them in nature. Based on the golden ratio (PHI), it served as the foundation for the construction of famous monuments such as pyramids, cathedrals, and ancient temples.

It is said to be present in absolutely everything, in cells, molecular structures…and would be the very origin of life.

The Platonic Solids are five regular polyhedra that have unique properties, as they are the basis of all structures. They are the tetrahedron, the hexahedron (or cube), the octahedron, the dodecahedron, and the icosahedron.

These geometric symbols are convex regular polyhedra, and there are only five of them. Indeed, to be regular, a polyhedron must have the same number of regular polygons at each of its vertices. In addition, the sum of the angles at the vertices of the regular polygons must be strictly less than 360°.

On the mathematical level, Euler’s formula (F+S-A=2), where F is the number of faces, A is the number of edges, and S is the number of vertices, is verified for the Platonic solids.

On the energetic level, the Platonic solids are used in healing because they maximize the vibrational rate of the person. They connect the chakras to universal energy, thereby enhancing the light bodies.

The Flower of Life is a sacred geometry pattern that helps raise the vibrational frequency of a person or space. Form waves are the vibrations generated or amplified by a form.

Flower of Life patterns can also be used for food and beverages, essential oils, etc.

How to use a Flower of Life?

This sacred symbol can be used in multiple ways. Its mere presence in a room has a harmonizing effect. It helps raise vibrations by restructuring what is discordant.

It contributes to revitalizing water and allows for better preservation of food.

It can be used as a talisman, worn as jewelry (pendant, bracelet, earrings…) or on our clothes. Some people have this pattern as a tattoo. If you are not sure where to tattoo the Flower of Life on your body, you can start with a temporary tattoo.

It can also be used as a support for meditation or to recharge stones and crystals.

It can also be used to create healing and harmonizing crystal grids.

How to activate a Flower of Life?

In terms of spiritual energy, this form wave is a vibration that connects us to the Authentic Source of all life, that is, the divine.

To benefit from its beneficial properties, it is not necessary to activate it or do anything. It acts infinitely to rebalance our energies. The effects can be noticeable on the mental, physical, and emotional levels.

Energy practitioners talk about activating the Flower of Life in energetic work to anchor the symbols.

But in everyday use, there is nothing special to do, except to send thoughts of love and harmony if you want to intensify its action.

How to draw a Flower of Life?

This sacred symbol is formed by 19 evenly spaced circles with symmetry.

Even though at first glance, this figure may seem difficult to reproduce, it is actually quite simple when you understand how it is formed.

The essential tool is, of course, the compass, and a support.

Take your compass and draw a first circle. While keeping the same radius, draw a second circle by placing the compass tip on a point on the first circle. You will notice that the intersections are actually the central points of each circle.

Then, place the compass tip on one of the intersections of the two previously drawn circles, and draw a third circle. Continue drawing the four other circles using the same method, and you will then obtain the seed of life.

Then add 12 additional circles around the seed of life following the same procedure.

Done? Perfect, all that’s left is to add the semicircles to complete the design.

There you have it, it wasn’t so complicated after all.
