The flower of life is a very special symbol, but how does it work and how can it be used?

What is the purpose of the flower of life?

This sacred geometry symbol is so ancient that its origin is not fully known. It has been found all over the world, in different sacred buildings and at different times.

The oldest known observation to date was found at the palace of King Assurbanipal in Dur-Sharrukin in Assyria, dating back to 645 BC.

Another representation of the flower of life was found on one of the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris in Abydos, an ancient city in Egypt.

Abydos is the first place of worship of Osiris, the god of the dead, and seemed to depict the passage to eternity for the ancient Egyptians. Abydos, as the cult center of Osiris, was the main gateway to the afterlife.

The flower of life symbol contains many geometric shapes like the Platonic solids, the Metatron’s cube, the Vesica Piscis, and Leonardo da Vinci’s famous Vitruvian Man. This is the realm of sacred geometry. These are forms with perfect proportions, as observed in nature. Based on the golden ratio (PHI), they served as the foundation for the construction of famous monuments such as pyramids, cathedrals, and ancient temples.

It is said to be present in absolutely everything, in cells, molecular structures… and is the very origin of life.

The Platonic solids are five regular polyhedra that possess unique properties because they form the basis of all structures. They are the tetrahedron, hexahedron (or cube), octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedron.

These geometric symbols are regular convex polyhedra, and there are only five of them. In order for a polyhedron to be regular, it must have the same number of regular polygons at each of its vertices. Additionally, the sum of the angles at the vertices of regular polygons must be strictly less than 360°.

From a mathematical perspective, the Euler’s formula (F + S – A = 2), where F is the number of faces, A is the number of edges, and S is the number of vertices, holds true for the Platonic solids.

From an energetic point of view, the Platonic solids are used for healing purposes as they help enhance a person’s vibrational rate. They connect the chakras to the universal energy, thereby strengthening the light bodies.

The Flower of Life is a sacred geometry pattern that contributes to raising the vibrational rate of a person or place. Sacred geometry patterns are the vibrations generated or amplified by a form.

Flower of life patterns can also be used for food and beverages, essential oils, etc…

How to use the flower of life?

This sacred symbol can be used in multiple ways. Its mere presence in a room has a harmonizing effect. It helps elevate vibrations by restructuring what is discordant.

It contributes to revitalizing water and allows for better preservation of food.

It can be used as a talisman and worn as jewelry (pendant, bracelet, earrings…) or on clothes. Some people choose this motif as a tattoo. If you are not sure where to tattoo the flower of life on your body, you can start with a temporary tattoo.

It can also be used as a meditation support or to recharge stones and crystals.

It can also be used to create healing and harmonizing crystal grids.

How to activate the flower of life?

In terms of spiritual energy, this sacred pattern is a vibration that connects us with the Authentic Source of all life, the divine.

To benefit from its beneficial properties, it is not necessary to activate it or do anything specific. It works infinitely to rebalance our energies. The effects can be noticeable on the mental, physical, and emotional levels.

Practitioners of Reiki talk about activating the flower of life in the context of energy work, to anchor the symbols.

But in everyday use, there is nothing specific to do, except sending thoughts of love and harmony if you want to intensify its action.

How to draw the flower of life?

This sacred symbol is formed by nineteen regularly spaced circles with symmetry.

Although at first glance it may seem difficult to reproduce, it is actually quite easy once you understand how it is formed.

The essential tool is of course the compass, and a surface to draw on.

Take your compass and draw the first circle. While keeping the same radius, draw a second circle with the compass point on a point on the circumference of the first circle. You will see that the intersections are actually the centers of each circle.

Then, place the compass point on one of the intersections of the two circles previously drawn, and draw a third circle. Continue to draw the four other circles using the same method, and you will obtain the seed of life.

Next, add 12 additional circles around the seed of life using the same procedure.

Done? Perfect, all that’s left is to add the semi-circles to complete the pattern.

There you go, it was quite easy, wasn’t it?
