The flower of life is a very special symbol, but what is its purpose and how can it be used?

What is the purpose of the flower of life?

This symbol of sacred geometry is so ancient that its true origin is unknown. It has been found worldwide in different time periods and various sacred monuments.

The oldest known depiction of the flower of life is located in the palace of King Assurbanipal in Dur-Sharrukin, Assyria, dating back to 645 BC.

Another representation of the flower of life can be found on one of the granite columns in the Temple of Osiris in the ancient Egyptian city of Abydos.

Abydos was the most important place of worship for Osiris, the god of the dead, and was believed to be the gateway to the afterlife for the ancient Egyptians. The flower of life symbol contains numerous geometric forms, including the Platonic solids, the Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, and Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man. These forms are based on perfect proportions found in nature and have served as the foundations for famous structures such as pyramids, cathedrals, and ancient temples.

It is believed to be present in everything, from cells to molecular structures, and is considered the origin of life itself.

The Platonic solids are five regular polyhedra that possess unique characteristics, as they form the basis of all structures. They include the tetrahedron, hexahedron (or cube), octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedron.

These geometric symbols are convex regular polyhedra and there are only five of them. To be regular, a polyhedron must have the same number of regular polygons meeting at each vertex, and the sum of the angles at the vertices of the regular polygons must be less than 360°.

From a mathematical perspective, the Euler’s formula (F + S – A = 2), where F is the number of faces, A is the number of edges, and S is the number of vertices, holds true for the Platonic solids.

In terms of energy, the Platonic solids are used for healing purposes as they maximize the vibrational rate of an individual. They connect the chakras with universal energy, thereby strengthening the light bodies.

The Flower of Life is a sacred geometric pattern that contributes to raising the vibrational frequency of a person or space. Form patterns are the vibrations generated or amplified by a specific shape.

The Flower of Life can also be used with food and beverages, essential oils, and more.

How to use the Flower of Life?

This sacred symbol can be used in various ways. Its mere presence in a room has a harmonizing effect and can elevate vibrations by restructuring what is out of balance.

It can be used to revitalize water and improve food preservation.

It can be worn as a talisman, such as a pendant, bracelet, or earrings, or added to clothing. Some people choose to have it as a tattoo. If you are unsure about where to tattoo the flower of life on your body, you can start with a temporary tattoo.

It can also be used as a meditation tool or to recharge crystals and gemstones.

How to activate the Flower of Life?

On a spiritual energy level, this form pattern is a vibration that connects us with the Authentic Source of all life, the divine.

To benefit from its positive properties, there is no need to activate it or do anything specific. It naturally works infinitely to rebalance our energies. The effects can be perceived on the mental, physical, and emotional levels.

Lightworkers may speak of activating the Flower of Life as part of energy work to anchor symbols.

In everyday use, there is nothing special to do other than sending thoughts of love and harmony if you wish to intensify its action.

How to draw the Flower of Life?

The Flower of Life consists of nineteen evenly spaced overlapping circles.

Although it may initially seem difficult to reproduce, it is actually quite simple once you understand how it is constructed.

The essential tool is a compass and a support surface.

Take your compass and draw the first circle. Keeping the same radius, draw a second circle by placing the compass tip on a point of the first circle’s circumference. You will notice that the intersections are actually the central points of each circle.

Next, place the compass tip on one of the intersections of the two previously drawn circles and draw a third circle. Continue drawing the remaining four circles using the same method, and you will obtain the Seed of Life.

Then, add 12 additional circles around the Seed of Life using the same process.

Done? Perfect! Now you just need to add the semi-circles to complete the pattern.

There you have it! It was quite easy, wasn’t it?
