Learn everything about the Flower of Life

For about forty years, the Flower of Life has intrigued and sparked much discussion; in 1999, Drunvalo Melchizedek published a two-volume work entitled The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life; it is the most comprehensive work available on this subject. Undoubtedly, the flower of life is intriguing, but what is it exactly?

Definition and Origins of the Flower of Life:

The flower of life is a very ancient geometric figure. It has been found on several ancient monuments in several parts of the world. The oldest known representation of the “overlapping circles” pattern dates back to the 7th or 6th century BC, found on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Ashurbanipal in Dur Sharrukin (now in the Louvre). Another pattern has also been found drawn on the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris in Abydos, Egypt; it is an engraving with five patterns of 19 overlapping circles. It is formed by 19 regularly spaced circles that overlap symmetrically.

How to draw the Flower of Life?

The essential tool is undoubtedly the compass. Choose a spacing and keep it until the end of the drawing, as all circles have the same diameter. Start by drawing the first circle, then the second by placing the compass tip on a point of the first circle; the second circle will necessarily pass through the center of the first. Continue like this and draw as many circles as you want. This figure can be reproduced infinitely.

Flower of Life and Sacred Geometry:

The flower of life is a figure of sacred geometry. It would contain many symbols of sacred geometry such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, the Fibonacci sequence…Other symbols such as the seed of life, the tree of life, and the germ of life are derived from it. It would even be connected to Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing called The Vitruvian Man, representing the human body created according to divine proportions. The flower of life would be directly related to the golden ratio and the divine proportion, which were used to build the pyramids of Egypt and cathedrals. For some, it would be present everywhere, in all cells, atoms, and molecular structures, and may even be the origin of life.

What is Sacred Geometry?

They are specific shapes due to their proportions or that appear to be intimately related to the golden ratio (or Phi). They are found in ancient monuments, nature, and even the human body. Below are the main figures of sacred geometry:

The Platonic Solids:

Also called Platonic solids, these are five polyhedrons with unique properties. Their surfaces have the same area; the edges of each Platonic solid are of equal length; the angles formed by all the edges are the same; if any Platonic solid is placed in a sphere that surrounds it at any point, all its vertices touch the inner surface of the sphere. The Platonic solids are the cube, tetrahedron, octahedron, icosahedron, and dodecahedron.

Metatron’s Cube:

It is one of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry. It is believed to be the seal of the archangel Metatron. According to Drunvalo Melchizedek, the five Platonic solids come from the fruit of life, a figure hidden within Metatron’s cube.

The Merkaba:

It is the light body of the human being. In his work, Drunvalo Melchizedek explains the origin of this word. In Hebrew, Mer-Ka-Vah literally means “throne of God” and “chariot” or “char”; in Egyptian, Mer-Ka-Ba breaks down into “Mer” meaning “field of light,” “Ka” meaning “spirit,” and “Ba” representing the human body. It is in fact the light body of the human being.

The Vesica Piscis:

It is one of the most prominent figures in the flower of life and one of the most important ratios. The Vesica Piscis is the geometric figure formed by the intersection of two circles of the same diameter, with the center of each circle belonging to the circumference of the other. Also known as the almond shape, this figure is considered one of the keys to Pythagorean esotericism.

The Seed of Life:

The seed of life is at the center of the flower of life. It is composed of seven circles, like the seven days of creation. Composed of six circles plus a central circle, totaling seven, it can be considered as made up of seven seeds of life.

What are the benefits of the flower of life?

The flower of life is a form wave that harmonizes everything that is discordant. It regenerates infinitely, so there is nothing to do to purify it. This symbol represents creation; that is, the entire universe. The symbol of the flower of life is said to be the origin of everything that exists in creation, absolutely everything; all biological life forms, crystalline structures, DNA molecules. In fact, it reminds us that all life comes from a single source. All forms of life are therefore intimately connected to the flower of life, which also means that all forms of life are interconnected.

How to Use the Flower of Life?

Above all, it is a powerful meditation tool. But it can be used in many other ways in daily life. The flower of life can be used to drink energized water: simply pour water into a flower of life carafe for a few hours before drinking it. The flower of life helps to purify and recharge crystals. It is also used to create crystal grids. It helps to better preserve food, essential oils, and, in general, all substances you want to harmonize and energize. It is also used to harmonize a space, such as a living room, waiting room, or office. Additionally, wearing it is very enjoyable; it helps maintain a high level of energy throughout the day and serves as protection, making us less susceptible to heavy and unwanted energies. For this, you can either opt for jewelry like a pendant or a ring, or wear clothing like a t-shirt. If you like tattoos, you can get a flower of life tattooed on your body, and initially, why not try a temporary flower of life tattoo.
