Learn all about the Flower of Life

Since the 1980s, the Flower of Life has intrigued and sparked discussions. In 1999, Drunvalo Melchizedek published a two-volume work titled “The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life,” which is the most comprehensive book to date on this subject. The Flower of Life is a very ancient geometric figure. It has been found on many ancient monuments in different parts of the world. The oldest known representation of the “overlapping circles” pattern dates back to the 7th or 6th century BC and was found on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Ashurbanipal in Dur Sharrukin (now at the Louvre). Another pattern has also been found drawn on the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris in Abydos, Egypt. It is a sketch with five patterns of 19 overlapping circles. It consists of 19 regularly spaced circles that overlap symmetrically.

How to Draw the Flower of Life?

The indispensable tool is, of course, the compass. Choose a specific gap and keep it until the end of the drawing, as all circles have the same radius. Start by drawing the first circle, then the second by placing the compass tip on a point of the first circle; the second circle will necessarily pass through the center of the first. Continue this process and draw as many circles as you want, as this figure can be reproduced infinitely.

Flower of Life and Sacred Geometry:

The Flower of Life is a symbol of sacred geometry. It is said to contain many symbols of sacred geometry, such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, the Fibonacci sequence, and more. Other figures, such as the Seed of Life, the Tree of Life, and the Egg of Life, are derived from it. It even has a connection with Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing called the Vitruvian Man, which depicts the human body constructed according to divine proportions. The Flower of Life is also linked to the golden ratio and the divine proportion, which are believed to have been used in the construction of the pyramids of Egypt and the cathedrals. For some, it is present everywhere, in all cells, atoms, and molecular structures, and may even be the origin of life.

What is Sacred Geometry?

Sacred geometry comprises special figures due to their proportions or their close connection to the golden ratio (or Phi ratio). They can be found in ancient monuments, nature, and even the human body. Let’s take a closer look at the main figures of sacred geometry:

The Platonic Solids:

Also known as Platonic solids, they are five polyhedra with specific properties. Their surfaces have the same area; the edges of each Platonic solid have the same length; the angles formed by all edges are the same; if any Platonic solid is placed in a sphere that circumscribes it at any point, all its points touch the inner surface of the sphere. The Platonic solids are the cube, tetrahedron, octahedron, icosahedron, and dodecahedron.

Metatron’s Cube:

It is one of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry. It is, in truth, the seal of the Archangel Metatron. According to Drunvalo Melchizedek, the five Platonic solids come from the Fruit of Life, a figure hidden in Metatron’s Cube.

The Merkaba:

It is the light body of the human being. In his work, Drunvalo Melchizedek explains the origin of this word. In Hebrew, Mer-Ka-Vah means “God’s Throne” and “Chariot” or “Cart.” In Egyptian, Mer-Ka-Ba breaks down into Mer, meaning “light field”; Ka, meaning “spirit”; and Ba, representing the human body. It is, in fact, the light body of the human being.

The Vesica Piscis:

It is one of the most prominent figures in the Flower of Life and one of the most important ratios. The Vesica Piscis is the geometric figure formed by the intersection of two circles of the same diameter, with the center of each circle lying on the circumference of the other. Also known as the mandorla (almond), this figure is considered one of the keys to Pythagorean esotericism.

The Seed of Life:

The Seed of Life is at the center of the Flower of Life. It consists of seven circles, representing the seven days of creation. Composed of six circles plus a central circle, totaling seven, it can be considered as consisting of seven seeds of life.

What are the Benefits of the Flower of Life?

The Flower of Life is a shape that harmonizes anything that is in discord. It regenerates infinitely, so there is nothing to do to recharge it. This symbol represents creation, that is, the entire universe. The Flower of Life is said to be the origin of everything that exists in creation, absolutely everything: all biological life forms, crystalline structures, DNA molecules, and more. In fact, it reminds us that all life comes from a single source. All life forms are intimately connected to the Flower of Life, which means that all life forms are interconnected.

How to Use the Flower of Life?

First and foremost, it is a powerful meditation tool. But it can also be used in various ways in everyday life. The Flower of Life can be used to drink energized water: simply pour water into a Flower of Life carafe and leave it for a few hours before drinking it. It is also used to purify and recharge crystals, as well as for creating crystal grids. It helps preserve food, essential oils, and other substances by harmonizing and energizing them. It can be used to harmonize a space, such as a living room, a waiting room, or an office. Additionally, it is very pleasant to wear the Flower of Life; it helps maintain high energy levels throughout the day and serves as protection, making us less sensitive to heavy and unwanted energies. You can choose jewelry such as a pendant or a ring, or wear clothing such as a t-shirt. If you like tattoos, you can get a Flower of Life tattooed on your body, or for a start, you can try a temporary Flower of Life tattoo.
