The Flower of Life is a very special symbol, but what is it for and how do you use it?

What is the Flower of Life for?

This symbol of sacred geometry is so ancient that its true origin is not really known. It has been identified in several locations on our blue planet, at different times, in several sacred buildings.

The oldest known representation to date is visible in the palace of King Assurbanipal in Dur-Sharrukin in Assyria, and dates back to 645 BC.

Another representation of the Flower of Life is found on one of the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris in Abydos, an ancient Egyptian city.

Abydos is the most important place of worship of Osiris, the god of the Dead, and seemed to symbolize the passage to eternity for the ancient Egyptians. Abydos, as the cult center of Osiris, was then the main access to the afterlife.

The symbol of the Flower of Life encompasses many geometric shapes such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, and Leonardo da Vinci’s famous Vitruvian Man. We enter the realm of sacred geometry. These are shapes with perfect proportions, as observed in nature. Based on the golden ratio (PHI), it served as the foundation for the construction of famous monuments such as pyramids, cathedrals, ancient temples.

It is said to be present in absolutely everything, in cells, molecular structures… and is the very origin of life.

The Platonic solids are five regular polyhedra that have specific characteristics that they alone possess, as they are the basis of all structures. These are the tetrahedron, hexahedron (or cube), octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedron.

These geometric symbols are regular convex polyhedra, and there are only five of them. Indeed, to be regular, a polyhedron must have the same number of regular polygons at each of its vertices. In addition, the sum of the vertex angles of regular polygons must be strictly less than 360°.

From a mathematical point of view, Euler’s formula (F+S-A=2), where F is the number of faces, A is the number of edges, and S is the number of vertices, holds true for the Platonic solids.

In the field of energy, the Platonic solids are used for healing purposes as they help enhance a person’s vibrational rate. They connect the chakras to universal energy, thereby strengthening the light bodies.

The Flower of Life is a form wave that helps raise the vibrational rate of a person or place. Form waves are vibrations generated or amplified by a form.

Flowers of Life can also be used for food and drinks, essential oils, etc…

How to use a Flower of Life?

This sacred symbol can be used in multiple ways. Its mere presence in a room has a harmonizing effect. It helps raise vibrations by restructuring what is discordant.

It helps revitalize water and allows better food preservation.

It can be used as a talisman, worn as jewelry (pendant, bracelet, earrings…) or on our clothes. Some choose this pattern as a tattoo. If you are not sure about the part of your body to tattoo the Flower of Life, you can start with a temporary tattoo.

It can also be used as a meditation support or to recharge stones and crystals.

It can also be used to create healing and harmonizing crystal grids.

How to activate a Flower of Life?

In terms of spiritual energy, this form wave is a vibration that connects us to the Authentic Source of all life, that is, the divine.

To benefit from its beneficial properties, there is no need to activate it or do anything. It acts infinitely to rebalance our energies. The effects can be noticeable on the mental, physical, and emotional levels.

Reiki practitioners talk about activating the Flower of Life as part of energy work to anchor the symbols.

However, in everyday use, there is nothing special to do, except sending thoughts of love and harmony if you want to intensify its action.

How to draw a Flower of Life?

This sacred symbol is formed by nineteen evenly spaced circles that overlap symmetrically.

Although at first glance this figure may seem difficult to reproduce, it is actually quite simple once you understand how it is formed.

The essential tool is, of course, the compass, and a support.

Grab your compass and draw a first circle. While keeping the same diameter, draw a second circle by positioning the compass point on a point of the first circle’s line. You will see that the intersections are actually the centers of each circle.

Then, place the compass point on one of the intersections of the two circles previously drawn, and draw a third circle. Continue drawing the four other circles using the same method, and you will then have the seed of life.

Next, add 12 additional circles around the seed of life following the same process.

Done? Perfect, all that’s left is to add the semicircles to complete the design.

There you go, it was quite easy, wasn’t it?
