What is the Flower of Life and How to Use it?

What is the Purpose of the Flower of Life?

This sacred geometric symbol is so ancient that its origins are not truly known. It has been found worldwide, in different periods, in several sacred buildings.

The oldest known representation to date is visible in the palace of King Assurbanipal in Dur-Sharrukin, Assyria, dating back to 645 BC.

Another representation of the Flower of Life resides on one of the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris in Abydos, an ancient city in Egypt.

Abydos is the most significant worship site of Osiris, the god of the Dead, and seemed to replicate the passage to eternity for ancient Egyptians. Abydos, as the cult center of Osiris, was the main gateway to the afterlife.

The Flower of Life symbol encompasses many geometric forms such as the Platonic solids, the Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, and Leonardo da Vinci’s famous Vitruvian Man. This enters the realm of sacred geometry. These are forms with perfect proportions, as seen in nature. Based on the golden ratio (PHI), it has enabled the construction of famous monuments such as pyramids, cathedrals, and ancient temples.

It is said to be present in everything, from cells to molecular structures, and is the very origin of life.

The Platonic solids are five regular polyhedra that possess unique qualities, as they are the basis of all structures. They are the tetrahedron, hexahedron (or cube), octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedron.

These geometric symbols are regular convex polyhedra, and there are only five of them. To be regular, a polyhedron must have the same number of regular polygons at each of its vertices. In addition, the sum of angles at the vertex of regular polygons must be strictly less than 360°.

On a mathematical level, the formula of Euler (F+S-A=2), where F is the number of faces, A is the number of edges, and S is the number of vertices, holds true for the Platonic solids.

In the field of energy, the Platonic solids are used for healing purposes as they maximize a person’s vibrational rate. They connect the chakras to universal energy, thus strengthening the light bodies.

The Flower of Life is a form wave that contributes to raising the vibrational rate of a person or place. Form waves are vibrations generated or amplified by a shape.

Flower of Life patterns can also be used for food and drinks, essential oils, etc.

How to Use the Flower of Life?

This sacred symbol can be used in multiple ways. Its mere presence in a room has a harmonizing effect. It helps elevate vibrations by restructuring what is discordant.

It aids in revitalizing water and allows for better food preservation.

It can serve as a talisman, worn as jewelry (pendants, bracelets, earrings…) or on clothing. Some choose this design as a tattoo. If you’re unsure where to tattoo the Flower of Life on your body, you can start with a temporary tattoo.

It can also be used as a meditation support or to recharge stones and crystals.

It can be utilized to create crystal healing and harmonization grids.

How to Activate the Flower of Life?

In terms of spiritual energy, this form wave is a vibration that connects us with the Authentic Source of all life, which is the divine.

To benefit from its beneficial properties, there is no need to activate or do anything. It acts infinitely to rebalance our energies. Effects can be perceived on the mental, physical, and emotional levels.

Lightworkers may talk about activating the Flower of Life in the context of energy work, to ground the symbols.

However, in everyday use, there is nothing special to do except sending thoughts of love and harmony if you wish to intensify its action.

How to Draw the Flower of Life?

This sacred symbol is formed by nineteen evenly spaced circles that overlap symmetrically.

Even though it may seem difficult to reproduce at first glance, it is actually quite simple once you understand how it is formed.

The essential tool is, of course, the compass, and a medium.

Take your compass and draw the first circle. While maintaining the same radius, draw a second circle by placing the compass point on a point of the first circle’s line. You will notice that the intersections are actually the central points of each circle.

Then, place the compass point on one of the intersections of the two previously drawn circles and draw a third circle. Continue to draw the four additional circles using the same method, and you will then obtain the seed of life.

Next, add 12 additional circles around the seed of life while following the same process.

Done? Perfect, all that’s left is to add the semi-circles to complete the figure.

There you have it, it was rather easy, wasn’t it?
