Everything you need to know about the Flower of Life

n

For about forty years now, the Flower of Life has intrigued and sparked a lot of interest. In 1999, Drunvalo Melchizédek published a two-volume work entitled “The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life,” which is the most comprehensive book on the subject.
Naturally, the flower of life is intriguing, but what is it exactly?

n

n
Definition and origins of the flower of life:

n

The flower of life is a very ancient geometric symbol. It has been found on numerous ancient monuments in various parts of the world.
The oldest known representation of the “overlapping circles” motif dates back to the 7th or 6th century BC and was found on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Ashurbanipal in Dur-Sharrukin (now in the Louvre).
Another motif has also been found drawn on the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris in Abydos, Egypt; it is a figure with five patterns of 19 overlapping circles.
It is formed by 19 regularly spaced circles that symmetricaly overlap.

n
How to draw the flower of life?

n

The essential tool is obviously the compass. Choose a spacing and keep it throughout the entire figure, as all the circles have the same radius.
Start by drawing the first circle, then a second one by placing the compass tip on a point of the first circle; the second circle will necessarily pass through the center of the first one. Continue this way and draw as many circles as desired. In fact, this pattern can be reproduced infinitely.

Flower of Life and Sacred Geometry:

n

The flower of life is a symbol of sacred geometry. It is said to contain a great number of sacred geometry symbols within it, such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, the Fibonacci sequence… Other symbols, such as the seed of life, the tree of life, and the germ of life, derive from it.
It may even have a connection with Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing titled “Vitruvian Man,” representing the human body created according to divine proportions.
The flower of life would have a direct link with the golden ratio and the divine proportion, which would have been used to build the pyramids of Egypt and the cathedrals.
For some, it is present absolutely everywhere, in all cells, atoms, and molecular structures and may even be the origin of life itself.

n

n
What is Sacred Geometry?

n

These are geometric figures that are special because of their proportions or because they seem intimately linked to the golden ratio (or Phi ratio). They can be found in ancient monuments, in nature, and even in the human body.
Let’s detail the main figures of sacred geometry below:

n

The Platonic Solids:

n

Also known as Platonic solids, these are five polyhedra with specific properties. Their surfaces have the same area; the edges of each Platonic solid have identical lengths; the angles formed by all the edges are the same; if any Platonic solid is placed in a sphere that circumscribes it at every point, all of its points touch the inner surface of the sphere.
The five Platonic solids are the cube, tetrahedron, octahedron, icosahedron, and dodecahedron.

n

Metatron’s Cube:

n

It is one of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry. It is said to be the container of the archangel Metatron. According to Drunvalo Melchizédek, the five Platonic solids come from the fruit of life, a figure hidden within Metatron’s Cube.

n

The Merkaba:

n

It is the human being’s light body. In his work, Drunvalo Melchizédek explains the origin of this word. In Hebrew, Mer-Ka-Vah literally means “throne of God” and “chariot” or “chariot”; in Egyptian, Mer-Ka-Ba breaks down into Mer meaning “light field,” Ka meaning “spirit,” and Ba representing the human body. It is, in fact, the human being’s light body.

n

n
The Vesica Piscis:

n

It is one of the most present figures in the flower of life and one of the most important ratios.
The Vesica Piscis is the geometric figure formed by the intersection of two circles of the same diameter, with the center of each circle belonging to the circumference of the other. Also known as the almond shape, this figure is considered one of the keys to Pythagorean esotericism.

n

The Seed of Life:

n

The seed of life is at the center of the flower of life. It is composed of seven circles, like the seven days of creation.
Composed of six surrounding circles and one central circle, for a total of seven, it can be considered as made up of seven seeds of life.

n

n
What are the benefits of the flower of life?

n

The flower of life is a form wave that harmonizes anything that is discordant. It regenerates infinitely, so there is nothing to do to purify it.
This symbol represents creation; that is, the entire universe. The flower of life symbol is said to be the origin of everything that exists in creation, absolutely everything; all biological life forms, crystalline structures, DNA molecules.
In fact, it indicates that all life comes from a single source. All life forms are therefore intimately related to the flower of life, which also means that all life forms are interconnected.

n

n
How to use the flower of life?

n

Above all, it is a powerful meditation tool. But it can also be used in many other ways in everyday life.
The flower of life can be used to drink energized water: for this, simply pour the water into a flower of life carafe for a few hours before drinking it.
It is also used to purify and recharge crystals. It is also used to create crystal grids.
It helps to better preserve food, essential oils, and in general, all substances you want to harmonize and energize.
It is also used to harmonize a place like a living room, waiting room, office…
Furthermore, it is very pleasant to wear it; it helps maintain a high energy level throughout the day and serves as protection, making us less sensitive to heavy and unwanted energies.
For this, you can either choose a piece of jewelry like a pendant or a ring, or wear a garment like a t-shirt, for example.
If you like tattoos, you can tattoo a flower of life on your body, and initially, why not try a temporary flower of life tattoo.
