Everything you need to know about the Flower of Life

Since the 1980s, the Flower of Life has intrigued and sparked a lot of speculation. In the 2000s, Drunvalo Melchizédek published a two-volume work called “The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life,” which is the most comprehensive work to date on this subject.
So, the Flower of Life is intriguing, but what is it exactly?

Definition and Origins of the Flower of Life:

The Flower of Life is an ancient sacred geometry symbol. It has been found on several ancient monuments in various parts of the world.
The oldest known representation of the “overlapping circles” pattern dates back to the 7th or 6th century BCE, found on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Aššur-bāni-apli in Dur Šarrukin (now at the Louvre).
Another pattern has also been found drawn on the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris in Abydos, Egypt; it is a representation with five motifs of 19 overlapping circles.
It is formed by 19 evenly spaced circles that symmetrically overlap.

How to draw the Flower of Life?

The essential tool is obviously the compass. Define a spacing and keep it until you finish drawing the figure, as all circles have the same radius.
Start by drawing the first circle, then a second one by placing the compass point on a point of the first circle; the second circle will necessarily pass through the center of the first one. Continue like this and draw as many circles as you want, as this pattern can extend infinitely.

Flower of Life and Sacred Geometry:

The Flower of Life is a symbol of sacred geometry. It is said to contain a large number of sacred geometry symbols such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, the Fibonacci sequence… Other figures such as the Seed of Life, the Tree of Life, and the Egg of Life derive from it.
It may even be linked to Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing called “Vitruvian Man,” reproducing the human body according to divine proportions.
The Flower of Life is said to be related to the golden ratio and the divine proportion, which were rumored to have been used to build the pyramids of Egypt and the cathedrals.
For some, it is present everywhere, in every cell, atom, and molecular structure, and may even be the origin of life.

What is Sacred Geometry?

These are special figures that have specific proportions or appear to be intimately related to the golden ratio (or Phi ratio). They are found in ancient monuments, nature, and even the human body.
Let’s look at the main sacred geometry figures in detail:

The Platonic Solids:

Also known as Platonic bodies, these are five polyhedra with specific properties. Their surfaces have the same area; the edges of each Platonic solid have the same length; the angles formed by all the edges are the same; if any Platonic solid is placed in a sphere that circumscribes it at any point, all its points touch the inner surface of the sphere.
The Platonic solids are the cube, tetrahedron, octahedron, icosahedron, and dodecahedron.

Metatron’s Cube:

It is one of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry. It is said to be the secret behind the five Platonic solids. According to Drunvalo Melchizédek, the five Platonic solids come from the Fruit of Life, a figure hidden within Metatron’s Cube.

The Merkaba:

It is the light body of the human being. In his book, Drunvalo Melchizédek explains the origin of this word. In Hebrew, Mer-Ka-Vah literally means “throne of God” and “chariot” or “chariot”; in Egyptian, Mer-Ka-Ba is composed of Mer meaning “light field,” Ka meaning “spirit,” and Ba representing the human body. It is, in fact, the light body of the human being.

The Vesica Piscis:

It is one of the most prominent figures in the flower of life and one of the most important ratios.
The Vesica Piscis is the geometric shape formed by the intersection of two circles of the same diameter, with the center of each circle belonging to the circumference of the other. Also known as the almond shape, this figure is considered one of the keys to Pythagorean esotericism.

The Seed of Life:

The Seed of Life is at the center of the Flower of Life. It is composed of seven circles, like the seven days of creation.
Composed of six circles plus one central circle, a total of seven, it can be considered as being made up of seven Seed of Life shapes.

What are the benefits of the Flower of Life?

The Flower of Life is a form wave that harmonizes anything that is discordant. It continually regenerates itself, so there is nothing to do to purify it.
This symbol is supposed to represent creation, meaning the entire universe. The Flower of Life symbol is said to be the origin of everything that exists in creation, without exception; all biological life forms, crystalline structures, DNA molecules.
In fact, it reminds us that all life comes from one and the same source. All forms of life are therefore intimately linked to the Flower of Life, which also means that all forms of life are interconnected.

How to use the Flower of Life?

First and foremost, it is a powerful meditation tool. But it can also be used in many other ways in daily life.
The Flower of Life is used to drink energized water: simply put the water in a flower of life carafe for a few hours before drinking.
The Flower of Life is used to purify and recharge crystals. It is also used to create crystal grids.
It is used to better preserve food, essential oils, and in general, any substances you want to harmonize and energize.
It is also used to harmonize a space like a living room, waiting room, or office.
Furthermore, it is very pleasant to wear it; it helps maintain a high energy level throughout the day and serves as protection, making us less permeable to heavy and unwanted energies.
For this, you can either choose a piece of jewelry like a pendant or a ring, or wear it on clothing like a t-shirt.
If you like tattoos, you can get a flower of life tattooed on your body, and for starters, why not try a temporary flower of life tattoo.
