The Flower of Life is a very special symbol, but what is it exactly and how can it be used?

What is the purpose of the Flower of Life?

This symbol of sacred geometry is so ancient that its origin is not fully known. It has been identified in various locations around the world, at different times, in several sacred structures.

The oldest known representation to date was found in the palace of King Assurbanipal in Dur-Sharrukin, Assyria, dating back to 645 BC.

Another representation of the Flower of Life was found on one of the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris in Abydos, an ancient Egyptian city.

Abydos is the first place of worship of Osiris, the god of the dead, and seemed to depict the passage to eternity for the ancient Egyptians. Abydos, as the cult center of Osiris, was then the main access to the afterlife.

The symbol of the Flower of Life contains many geometric shapes such as the Platonic solids, the Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, or the famous Vitruvian Man by Leonardo da Vinci. This takes us into the realm of sacred geometry. These are forms with perfect proportions, as observed in nature. By relying on the golden ratio (PHI), it has allowed for the construction of famous monuments such as pyramids, cathedrals, and ancient temples.

It is said to be present in everything, in cells, molecular structures… and is the very origin of life.

The Platonic solids are five regular polyhedra with unique characteristics, as they form the basis of all structures. They are the tetrahedron, the hexahedron (or cube), the octahedron, the dodecahedron, and the icosahedron.

These geometric symbols are regular convex polyhedra, and there are only five of them. In order to be regular, a polyhedron must have the same number of regular polygons at each vertex. Moreover, the sum of the angles at the vertex of regular polygons must be strictly less than 360°.

On a mathematical level, the Euler’s formula (F+S-A=2), where F is the number of faces, A is the number of edges, and S is the number of vertices, holds true for the Platonic solids.

In the energetic field, the Platonic solids are used for healing purposes as they help perfect the vibrational rate of a person. They connect the chakras to universal energy, thus strengthening the light bodies.

The Flower of Life is a form wave that contributes to raising the vibrational rate of a person or a place. Form waves are vibrations generated or amplified by a specific shape.

Flowers of Life can also be used for food and drinks, essential oils, etc…

How to use a Flower of Life?

This sacred symbol can be used in multiple ways. Its mere presence in a room has a harmonizing effect. It helps raise vibrations by reorganizing what is discordant.

It contributes to revitalizing water and allows for better preservation of food.

It can be used as a talisman, worn as jewelry (pendant, bracelet, earrings…), or on our clothes. Some people also choose this pattern as a tattoo. If you are not sure where to tattoo the Flower of Life on your body, you can start with a temporary tattoo.

It can also be used as a meditation aid or to recharge stones and crystals.

Furthermore, it can be used to create crystal grids for healing and harmonization purposes.

How to activate a Flower of Life?

Spiritually, this form wave is a vibration that connects us to the Authentic Source of all life, the divine.

To benefit from its beneficial properties, there is no need to activate it or do anything special. It acts infinitely to rebalance our energies. The effects can be noticeable on the mental, physical, and emotional levels.

Some people talk about activating the Flower of Life in energy work to anchor symbols.

But in its everyday use, there is nothing special to do, except sending thoughts of love and harmony if you want to intensify its action.

How to draw a Flower of Life?

This figure is composed of 19 evenly spaced circles that overlap symmetrically.

Although this figure may seem difficult to reproduce at first glance, it is actually quite easy once you understand how it is formed.

The essential tool is, of course, a compass, and a support.

Take your compass and draw the first circle. While keeping the same distance, draw a second circle by placing the compass tip on a point of the first circle’s circumference. You will see that the intersections are actually the central points of each circle.

Next, place the compass tip on one of the intersections of the two previously drawn circles and draw a third circle. Continue drawing the four other circles using the same method, and you will then have the seed of life.

Then add 12 additional circles surrounding the seed of life using the same procedure.

Done? Perfect, now you just need to add the semi-circles to complete the pattern.

There you go, it wasn’t that complicated after all.
