What is the purpose of the Flower of Life?

This sacred geometry symbol is so ancient that its true origin remains unknown. It has been discovered in various sacred buildings around the world, dating back to different times.

The oldest known depiction was found in the palace of King Assurbanipal in Dur-Sharrukin, Assyria, dating back to 645 BC.

Another representation of the Flower of Life can be found on one of the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris in Abydos, an ancient city of Egypt.

How to Draw the Flower of Life?

This geometric shape is composed of 19 evenly spaced circles with symmetry.

Although it may seem difficult to reproduce at first glance, it is actually quite easy once you understand how it is formed.

The essential tool is, of course, a compass and a support.

Take your compass and draw the first circle. While keeping the same diameter, draw a second circle by putting the compass point on a point of the first circle’s line. You will notice that the intersections are actually the centers of each circle.

Then, place the compass point on one of the intersections of the two circles previously drawn, and draw a third circle. Continue drawing the four other circles using the same method, and you will then have the Seed of Life.

Next, add 12 additional circles around the Seed of Life, following the same procedure.
