All about the Flower of Life

The Flower of Life has intrigued and sparked curiosity for about forty years. In the 2000s, Drunvalo Melchizedek published a two-volume book titled “The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life,” which is the most comprehensive work available on the subject. The Flower of Life is an ancient geometric figure. It has been found on numerous ancient monuments in various parts of the world. The oldest known representation of the “overlapping circles” pattern dates back to the 7th or 6th century BC and was found on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Ashurbanipal in Dur Sharrukin (now in the Louvre). Another pattern has also been found drawn on the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris at Abydos, Egypt; it is a sketch with five patterns of 19 overlapping circles. It is composed of 19 evenly spaced circles that symmetrically overlap each other.

How to draw the Flower of Life?

The essential tool is obviously a compass. Choose a spacing and keep it consistent throughout the drawing because all the circles have the same radius. Start by drawing the first circle, then a second one by placing the compass tip on a point of the first circle; the second circle will necessarily pass through the center of the first one. Continue this process and draw as many circles as you desire. This pattern can extend indefinitely.

Flower of Life and Sacred Geometry

The Flower of Life is a symbol of sacred geometry. It is said to contain numerous sacred geometry symbols within it, such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, the Fibonacci sequence, and more. Other figures derived from it include the Seed of Life, the Tree of Life, and the Egg of Life. Some even believe it is connected to Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing “Vitruvian Man,” representing the human body created according to divine proportions. The Flower of Life is also associated with the golden ratio and the divine proportion, which are said to have been used in the construction of the pyramids of Egypt and cathedrals. Some believe it is present everywhere, in every cell, atom, and molecular structure, and may even be the origin of life itself.

What is Sacred Geometry?

Sacred geometry refers to special shapes due to their proportions or their apparent connection to the golden ratio (or Phi ratio). They are found in ancient monuments, nature, and even the human body. Let’s take a closer look at the main figures of sacred geometry:

Platonic Solids:

Also known as Platonic solids, these are five polyhedra with unique properties. Their surfaces have the same area; the edges of each Platonic solid are of equal length; the angles formed by all edges are the same; if any Platonic solid is placed in a sphere that surrounds it, all its vertices touch the inner surface of the sphere. The Platonic solids are the cube, tetrahedron, octahedron, icosahedron, and dodecahedron.

Metatron’s Cube:

It is one of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry. It is said to be the container of the Archangel Metatron. According to Drunvalo Melchizedek, the five Platonic solids come from the Fruit of Life, a figure hidden within Metatron’s Cube.

Merkaba:

It is the light body of the human being. In his book, Drunvalo Melchizedek explains the origin of this word. In Hebrew, Mer-Ka-Vah literally means “God’s throne” and “chariot” or “vehicle”; in Egyptian, Mer-Ka-Ba breaks down into Mer, which means “light field,” Ka meaning “spirit,” and Ba representing the human body. It is essentially the human being’s light body.

Vesica Piscis:

It is one of the most common figures in the flower of life, and it is one of the most significant ratios. The Vesica Piscis is the geometric figure formed by the intersection of two circles of the same diameter, with each circle’s center lying on the circumference of the other. Also known as the almond shape, this figure is considered one of the keys to Pythagorean esotericism.

Seed of Life:

The Seed of Life is at the core of the Flower of Life. It consists of seven circles, representing the seven days of creation. Composed of six surrounding circles and a central circle, totaling seven, it can be seen as composed of seven seeds of life.

What are the benefits of the Flower of Life?

The Flower of Life is a sacred geometry form that harmonizes everything that is in dissonance. It regenerates infinitely, so there is nothing to do to recharge it. This symbol represents creation, meaning the entire universe. The symbol of the Flower of Life is said to be the origin of everything that exists in creation – absolutely everything, including all biological life forms, crystal structures, and DNA molecules. It indicates that all life comes from a single source. Thus, all forms of life are intimately connected to the Flower of Life, which also implies that all forms of life are interconnected.

How to use the Flower of Life?

Above all, it is a powerful tool for meditation. However, it can be used in many other ways in everyday life. The Flower of Life can be used to drink structured water: simply pour water into a Flower of Life carafe and let it sit for a few hours before drinking. It is also used for purifying and recharging crystals, as well as creating crystal grids. Additionally, it helps to preserve foods, essential oils, and other substances you wish to harmonize and energize. It can also be used to harmonize a space, such as a living room, waiting room, or office. Furthermore, wearing it as jewelry, such as a pendant or a ring, or incorporating it into clothing, such as a T-shirt, can provide a sense of protection and help maintain high energy levels throughout the day, making us less susceptible to heavy or unwanted energies. If you enjoy tattoos, you can get a Flower of Life tattooed on your body, or for a start, you can try a temporary Flower of Life tattoo.
