Everything you need to know about the Flower of Life

For about forty years, the Flower of Life has intrigued and generated a lot of discussion; in 1999, Drunvalo Melchizedek published a two-volume work entitled The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life; it is the most comprehensive work on this subject.
Obviously, the Flower of Life is intriguing, but what exactly is it?

Definition and origins of the Flower of Life:

The Flower of Life is a very ancient symbol of sacred geometry. It has been found on several ancient monuments in various parts of the world.
The oldest known representation of the “overlapping circles” pattern dates back to the 7th or 6th century BC, found on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Aššur-bāni-apli in Dur Šarrukin (now in the Louvre).
Another pattern has also been found drawn on the granite columns of the temple of Osiris in Abydos, Egypt; it is a drawing with five patterns of 19 overlapping circles.
It is formed by 19 regularly spaced circles that symmetrically overlap.

How to draw the Flower of Life?

The indispensable tool is, of course, the compass. Choose a spacing and keep it until the figure is complete, as all circles have the same radius.
At the beginning, you need to draw a first circle, then a second by placing the compass point on a point of the first circle; the second circle will necessarily pass through the center of the first circle. Then continue like this and draw as many circles as you want. In fact, this figure can extend infinitely.

Flower of Life and sacred geometry:

The Flower of Life is a figure of sacred geometry. It is said to contain a large number of sacred geometry symbols such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, the Fibonacci sequence… Other figures such as the Seed of Life, the Tree of Life, and the Egg of Life are derived from it.
It may even have a connection to Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing called the Vitruvian Man, reproducing the human body based on divine proportions.
The Flower of Life is said to be related to the golden ratio and the divine proportion, which were used to build the pyramids of Egypt and cathedrals.
For some, it is present everywhere, in all cells, atoms, and molecular structures, and may even be the origin of life itself.

What is sacred geometry?

These are special figures due to their proportions or because they appear to be intimately linked to the golden ratio (or Phi ratio). They can be found on ancient monuments, in nature, and even in the human body.
Let’s detail below the main figures of sacred geometry:

The Platonic solids:

Also known as Platonic solids, these are five polyhedra with specific properties. Their surfaces have the same area; the edges of each Platonic solid are of the same length; the angles formed by all the edges are the same; if any Platonic solid is placed in a sphere that surrounds it at every point, all its tips touch the inner surface of the sphere.
The Platonic solids are the cube, tetrahedron, octahedron, icosahedron, and dodecahedron.

Metatron’s Cube:

It is one of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry. It is actually the seal of the archangel Metatron. According to Drunvalo Melchizedek, the five Platonic solids come from the Fruit of Life, a figure hidden in Metatron’s Cube.

Merkaba:

It is the light body of the human being. In his work, Drunvalo Melchizedek explains the origin of this word. In Hebrew, Mer-Ka-Vah literally means “Throne of God” and “chariot” or “vehicle”; in Egyptian, Mer-Ka-Ba breaks down into “Mer” meaning light field, “Ka” meaning spirit, and “Ba” representing the human body. It is, in fact, the light body of the human being.

Vesica Piscis:

It is one of the most present figures in the Flower of Life and one of the most important ratios.
The Vesica Piscis is the geometric figure formed by the intersection of two circles of the same diameter, with the center of each circle belonging to the circumference of the other. Also called mandorla (almond), this figure is considered one of the keys to Pythagorean esotericism.

Seed of Life:

The Seed of Life is at the center of the Flower of Life. It is composed of seven circles, like the seven days of creation. Composed of six circles plus a central circle, for a total of seven, it can be considered to be made up of seven seeds of life.

What are the benefits of the Flower of Life?

The Flower of Life is a form wave that harmonizes everything that is discordant. It regenerates infinitely, so there is nothing to do to recharge it.
This symbol is supposed to represent creation; that is, the entire universe. The symbol of the Flower of Life is said to be the origin of everything that exists in creation, absolutely everything; all biological forms of life, crystalline structures, DNA molecules.
In fact, it reminds us that all life comes from a single source. All forms of life are therefore intimately connected to the Flower of Life, which also means that all forms of life are interconnected.

How to use the Flower of Life?

Above all, it is a powerful support for meditation. But it can be used in daily life in multiple ways.
The Flower of Life is used to drink energized water: for this, simply pour water into a Flower of Life carafe for a few hours before drinking it.
The Flower of Life can be used to purify and recharge crystals. It is also used to create crystal grids.
It helps to better preserve food, essential oils, and in general, all substances that you want to harmonize and dynamize.
It is also used to harmonize a place such as a living room, a waiting room, an office…
Furthermore, it is very pleasant to wear it, as it helps to maintain a high level of energy throughout the day and serves as protection, making us less permeable to heavy and unwanted energies.
For this, you can either opt for a piece of jewelry like a pendant or a ring, or wear clothing like a T-shirt for example.
If you like tattoos, you can get a Flower of Life tattooed on your body, and initially, why not try a temporary Flower of Life tattoo.
