Everything you need to know about the Flower of Life

Since the 80s, the Flower of Life has intrigued and been talked about; in the 2000s, Drunvalo Melchizedek published a two-volume book called The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life; it is the most complete book known to date on the subject.
Undoubtedly, the Flower of Life is intriguing, but what exactly is it?

Definition and origins of the Flower of Life:

The Flower of Life is a very ancient geometric figure. It has been found on several ancient monuments in various parts of the world.
The oldest known representation of the “overlapping circles” pattern dates back to the 7th or 6th century BC, found on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Ashurbanipal in Dur Sharrukin (now at the Louvre).
Another pattern has also been found drawn on the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris in Abydos, Egypt; it is a drawing with five patterns of 19 overlapping circles.
It is composed of 19 evenly spaced circles, symmetrically overlapping each other.

How to draw the Flower of Life?

The indispensable tool is obviously the compass. Choose a spacing and keep it until the end of the drawing, as all the circles have the same diameter.
Start by drawing a first circle, then a second one by placing the point of the compass on a point of the first circle; the second circle will necessarily pass through the center of the first circle. Then continue like this and draw as many circles as you want. Because this pattern can be reproduced infinitely.

Flower of Life and Sacred Geometry:

The Flower of Life is a figure of sacred geometry. It contains many symbols of sacred geometry such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, the Fibonacci sequence… Other patterns such as the Seed of Life, the Tree of Life, and the Germ of Life are derived from it.
It even has a connection to Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing called the Vitruvian Man, depicting the human body created according to divine proportions.
The Flower of Life is linked to the golden ratio and the divine proportion, which are said to have been used in building the pyramids of Egypt and the cathedrals.
Some believe that it is present absolutely everywhere, in all cells, atoms, and molecular structures, and may even be the origin of life.

What is Sacred Geometry?

These are particular shapes because of their proportions or because they appear to be intimately linked to the golden ratio (or Phi ratio). They can be found in ancient monuments, nature, and even the human body.
Let’s detail below the main figures of sacred geometry:

The Platonic Solids:

Also called Platonic solids, these are five polyhedra with unique properties. Their surfaces have the same area; the edges of each Platonic solid are of the same length; the angles formed by all the edges are the same; if any Platonic solid is placed in a sphere that circumscribes it at any point, all its vertices touch the inner surface of the sphere.
The Platonic solids are the cube, the tetrahedron, the octahedron, the icosahedron, and the dodecahedron.

Metatron’s Cube:

It is one of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry. In truth, it is said to be the seal of the archangel Metatron. According to Drunvalo Melchizedek, the five Platonic solids come from the Fruit of Life, a figure hidden in Metatron’s Cube.

Merkaba:

It is the light body of the human being. In his book, Drunvalo Melchizedek explains the origin of this word. In Hebrew, Mer-Ka-Vah literally means “God’s throne” and “chariot” or “vehicle”; in Egyptian, Mer-Ka-Ba breaks down into Mer meaning “light field,” Ka meaning “spirit,” and Ba representing the human body. It is, in fact, the light body of the human being.

The Vesica Piscis:

It is one of the most present figures in the Flower of Life, and it is one of the most important ratios.
The Vesica Piscis is the geometric figure formed by the intersection of two circles of the same diameter, with the center of each circle belonging to the circumference of the other. Also known as the mandorla (almond), this figure is considered one of the keys of Pythagorean esotericism.

The Seed of Life:

The Seed of Life is at the center of the Flower of Life. It is composed of seven circles, like the seven days of creation.
Composed of six circles plus one central circle, a total of seven, it can be considered as consisting of seven seeds of life.

What are the benefits of the Flower of Life?

The Flower of Life is a form wave that harmonizes everything that is discordant. It regenerates infinitely, so there is nothing to do to recharge it.
This symbol represents creation; that is, the entire universe. The symbol of the Flower of Life is said to be the origin of everything that exists in creation, absolutely everything; all biological life forms, crystalline structures, DNA molecules.
In fact, it indicates that all life comes from a single source. All life forms are therefore intimately connected to the Flower of Life, which also implies that all life forms are interconnected.

How to use the Flower of Life?

First and foremost, it is a powerful meditation tool. But it can also be used in everyday life in many other ways.
The Flower of Life can be used to drink energized water: simply put water in a Flower of Life carafe for a few hours before drinking it.
The Flower of Life is used to purify and recharge crystals. It is also used to create crystal grids.
It helps better preserve food, essential oils, and in general all substances that you want to harmonize and energize.
It is also used to harmonize a space like a living room, a waiting room, an office…
Finally, it is very pleasant to wear it; it helps to maintain a high level of energy throughout the day and serves as protection, making us less sensitive to heavy and unwanted energies.
For this, you can either choose a piece of jewelry like a pendant or a ring, or wear clothing like a t-shirt for example.
If you like tattoos, you can get a Flower of Life tattooed on your body, and in the beginning, why not try a temporary Flower of Life tattoo.
