All about the Flower of Life

For about forty years, the Flower of Life has intrigued and sparked many discussions; in the 2000s, Drunvalo Melchizedek published a two-volume work entitled “The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life”; it is the most comprehensive book known to date on this subject.
Indeed, the Flower of Life is intriguing, but what is it exactly?

Definition and origins of the Flower of Life:

The Flower of Life is a very ancient symbol of sacred geometry. It has been found on many ancient monuments in various parts of the world.
The oldest known representation of the “overlapping circles” pattern dates back to the 7th or 6th century BC and was found on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Ashurbanipal in Dur Sharrukin (now in the Louvre).
Another pattern has also been found drawn on the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris in Abydos, Egypt; it is an engraving with five patterns of 19 overlapping circles.
It is composed of 19 regularly spaced circles that symmetrically overlap.

How to draw the Flower of Life?

The essential tool is, of course, the compass. Choose a width and keep it until the end of the drawing, as all circles have the same diameter.
Start by drawing a first circle, then a second one by placing the compass point on a point of the first circle; the second circle will necessarily pass through the center of the first one. Then continue like this and draw as many circles as you want. Indeed, this pattern can be reproduced infinitely.

Flower of Life and sacred geometry:

The Flower of Life is a figure of sacred geometry. It is believed to contain numerous symbols of sacred geometry, such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, the Fibonacci sequence… Other symbols such as the Seed of Life, the Tree of Life, and the Germ of Life stem from it.
It even has a connection to Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing called the Vitruvian Man, representing the human body elaborated according to divine proportions.
The Flower of Life has a direct link to the golden ratio and the divine proportion, which were used to build the pyramids of Egypt and the cathedrals.
Some believe that it is present absolutely everywhere, in all cells, atoms, and molecular structures, and may even be the origin of life.

What is sacred geometry?

These are special figures that have specific proportions or appear closely related to the golden ratio (or Phi ratio). They are found in ancient monuments, nature, and even the human body.
Below, we detail the main figures of sacred geometry:

The Platonic solids:

Also called Platonic solids, these are five polyhedra that have unique properties. Their surfaces have the same area; the edges of each Platonic solid have the same length; the angles formed by all the edges are the same; if any Platonic solid is placed in a sphere that circumscribes it in any point, all its vertices touch the inner surface of the sphere.
The Platonic solids are the cube, the tetrahedron, the octahedron, the icosahedron, and the dodecahedron.

Metatron’s Cube:

It is one of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry. It is said to be the hidden pattern within the Fruit of Life, which comes from Metatron’s Cube according to Drunvalo Melchizedek.

The Merkaba:

It is the light body of the human being. In his work, Drunvalo Melchizedek explains the origin of this word. In Hebrew, Mer-Ka-Vah literally means “throne of God” and “chariot” or “chariots”; in Egyptian, Mer-Ka-Ba breaks down into Mer meaning “light field”, Ka meaning “spirit”, and Ba representing the human body. It is indeed the light body of the human being.

The Vesica Piscis:

It is one of the most prominent figures in the Flower of Life and one of the most important ratios. The Vesica Piscis is the geometric figure formed by the intersection of two circles of the same diameter, with each circle’s center belonging to the circumference of the other. Also called the almond, this figure is considered one of the keys of Pythagorean esotericism.

The Seed of Life:

The Seed of Life is at the center of the Flower of Life. It is composed of seven circles, just like the seven days of creation. It is made up of six circles plus a central circle, for a total of seven. It can be considered as consisting of seven germinal life forms.

What are the benefits of the Flower of Life?

The Flower of Life is a form wave that harmonizes everything that is in discord. It regenerates infinitely, so there is nothing to do to purify it.
This symbol is supposed to represent creation, meaning the entire universe. The Flower of Life symbol is said to be the origin of everything that exists in creation, without exception; all biological life forms, crystalline structures, DNA molecules.
In fact, it indicates that all life comes from one single source. All life forms are intimately connected to the Flower of Life, which means that all life forms are interconnected.

How to use the Flower of Life?

First and foremost, it is a powerful tool for meditation. However, it can be used in daily life in multiple ways.
The Flower of Life allows you to drink energized water: for this, simply pour water into a flower of life carafe for a few hours before drinking it.
The Flower of Life is also used to purify and recharge crystals. It is also used to create crystal grids.
It helps preserve food, essential oils, and, in general, all substances you want to harmonize and energize.
It can also be used to harmonize a space, such as a living room, waiting room, or office.
Furthermore, wearing it is very pleasant; it helps maintain a high energy level throughout the day and serves as protection, making us less sensitive to heavy and unwanted energies.
For this, you can either choose a piece of jewelry like a pendant or ring, or wear a clothing item like a T-shirt.
If you like tattoos, you can have a Flower of Life tattooed on your body, or, to start with, why not try a temporary Flower of Life tattoo.
