All about the Flower of Life

Since the 1980s, the Flower of Life has intrigued and sparked interest. In the early 2000s, Drunvalo Melchizédek published a two-volume book titled “The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life,” which is the most comprehensive book on the subject. So, what exactly is the Flower of Life?

Definition and origins of the Flower of Life:

The Flower of Life is a very ancient symbol of sacred geometry. It has been found in numerous ancient monuments around the world. The oldest known representation of the “overlapping circles” motif dates back to the 7th or 6th century BC and was discovered on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Aššur-bāni-apli in Dur Šarrukin. Another motif has also been found drawn on the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris in Abydos, Egypt. It is a drawing with five motifs of 19 overlapping circles. It is formed by 19 regularly spaced circles that symmetrically overlap.

How to draw the Flower of Life?

The essential tool is obviously the compass. Choose a distance and keep it throughout the entire drawing since all the circles have the same diameter. Start by drawing the first circle, then place the compass point on a point of the first circle. The second circle will pass through the center of the first one. Continue this process and draw as many circles as you want. This pattern can extend infinitely.

Flower of Life and sacred geometry:

The Flower of Life is a figure of sacred geometry. It is said to contain numerous symbols of sacred geometry, such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, Vesica Piscis, and the Fibonacci sequence. Other symbols, such as the Seed of Life, Tree of Life, and the Egg of Life, are derived from it. It is even believed to have a connection with Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing “Vitruvian Man,” which depicts the human body built according to divine proportions. The Flower of Life is also directly linked to the golden ratio and the divine proportion, which are said to have been used in the construction of the Egyptian pyramids and cathedrals. Some believe it is present everywhere, in every cell, atom, and molecular structure, and may even be the origin of life itself.

What is sacred geometry?

Sacred geometry refers to particular figures that have proportions closely related to the golden ratio (or Phi). They can be found in ancient monuments, nature, and even the human body. Let’s explore the main figures of sacred geometry:

Platonic solids:

Also known as Platonic solids, these are five polyhedra with specific properties. Their surfaces have equal area, the edges of each platonic solid are of the same length, and the angles formed by all the edges are the same. When any Platonic solid is placed in a sphere that circumscribes it, all its vertices touch the inner surface of the sphere. The Platonic solids are the cube, tetrahedron, octahedron, icosahedron, and dodecahedron.

Metatron’s Cube:

Metatron’s Cube is one of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry. It is believed to be the seal of the archangel Metatron. According to Drunvalo Melchizédek, the five Platonic solids are derived from the Fruit of Life, a figure hidden within Metatron’s Cube.

Merkaba:

Merkaba is the light body of the human being. In his book, Drunvalo Melchizédek explains the origin of this word. In Hebrew, Mer-Ka-Vah literally means “God’s throne” and “chariot” or “wagon.” In Egyptian, Mer-Ka-Ba decomposes into “Mer,” which means light field, “Ka,” which means spirit, and “Ba,” which represents the human body. It is, in fact, the light body of the human being.

Vesica Piscis:

The Vesica Piscis is one of the most prominent figures in the Flower of Life and one of the most important relationships. The Vesica Piscis is the geometric figure formed by the intersection of two circles of the same diameter, with the center of each circle lying on the circumference of the other. Also known as the almond shape, this figure is considered one of the keys to Pythagorean esotericism.

Seed of Life:

The Seed of Life is at the core of the Flower of Life. It consists of seven circles, symbolizing the seven days of creation. Composed of six outer circles and one central circle, totaling seven, it can be seen as seven seeds of life.

What are the benefits of the Flower of Life?

The Flower of Life is a form wave that harmonizes everything that is in disharmony. It regenerates infinitely, so there is nothing to do to recharge it. This symbol is supposed to represent creation, meaning the entire universe. The Flower of Life is said to be the origin of everything that exists in creation, without exception. It is the source of all biological life forms, crystal structures, and DNA molecules. In essence, it indicates that all life comes from a single source and that all forms of life are interconnected.

How to use the Flower of Life?

Above all, it is a powerful meditation tool. But it can also be used in various ways in daily life. The Flower of Life can be used to energize water by pouring it into a Flower of Life carafe and letting it sit for a few hours before drinking. It helps purify and recharge crystals and can be used to create crystal grids. It aids in better preservation of food, essential oils, and any other substances that you wish to harmonize and energize. It can also be used to harmonize a space, such as a living room, waiting room, or office. Wearing it as jewelry, such as a pendant or ring, or even as clothing, like a t-shirt, is a pleasant way to keep your energy levels high throughout the day and provide protection from unwanted negative energies. If you like tattoos, you can get a Flower of Life tattoo on your body, or start with a temporary Flower of Life tattoo as a first step.
