The flower of life is a very special symbol, but what is it exactly and how can it be used?

What is the purpose of the flower of life?

This sacred geometry symbol is so ancient that we don’t truly know the origins of its creation. It has been found all over the world, in different eras, in many sacred monuments.

The oldest known depiction to date was found in the palace of King Assurbanipal in Dur-Sharrukin, Assyria, and dates back to 645 BC.

Another representation of the flower of life was found on one of the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris in Abydos, a city of ancient Egypt.

Abydos was the first place of worship for Osiris, the god of the Dead, and seemed to trace the passage to eternity for the ancient Egyptians. As the cult center of Osiris, Abydos was the main gateway to the afterlife.

The flower of life symbol encompasses many geometric shapes such as the Platonic solids, the Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, and Leonardo da Vinci’s famous Vitruvian Man. This takes us into the world of sacred geometry. These are forms of perfect proportions, as observed in nature. Based on the golden ratio (PHI), it served as a foundation for the construction of famous monuments such as pyramids, cathedrals, and ancient temples.

It is said to be present in absolutely everything, in cells, molecular structures… and is believed to be the very origin of life.

The Platonic solids are five regular polyhedra that possess unique characteristics, as they are the foundation of all structures. They are the tetrahedron, hexahedron (or cube), octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedron.

These geometric symbols are regular convex polyhedra, and there are only five of them. In order to be regular, a polyhedron must have the same number of regular polygons at each of its vertices. Moreover, the sum of the angles at the vertex of regular polygons must be strictly less than 360°.

From a mathematical point of view, the Euler’s formula (F+S-A=2), where F is the number of faces, A is the number of edges, and S is the number of vertices, holds true for the Platonic solids.

From an energetic perspective, the Platonic solids are used in healing practices because they help maximize a person’s vibrational frequency. They connect the chakras to universal energy, thereby strengthening the light bodies.

The Flower of Life is a sacred geometric pattern that contributes to raising the vibrational frequency of a person or a place. Sacred geometric patterns are the vibrations generated or amplified by a particular shape.

The flower of life can also be used for food and beverages, essential oils, etc.

How to use the flower of life?

This sacred symbol can be used in multiple ways. Its mere presence in a room has a harmonizing effect. It helps elevate vibrations by restructuring what is discordant.

It contributes to revitalizing water and allows for better food preservation.

It can be used as a talisman, worn as jewelry (pendant, bracelet, earrings…) or on our clothing. Some people choose to have the flower of life as a tattoo. If you are unsure of the body part to have the flower of life tattooed on, you can start with a temporary tattoo.

It can also be used as a meditation support or to recharge stones and crystals.

It can also be used to create healing and harmonizing crystal grids.

How to activate a flower of life?

On a spiritual energy level, this sacred pattern is a vibration that connects us to the Authentic Source of all life, the divine.

To benefit from its beneficial properties, it is not necessary to activate it or do anything special. It works infinitely to rebalance our energies. The effects can be noticeable on the mental, physical, and emotional levels.

Energetic practitioners speak of activating the flower of life as part of an energetic work to anchor the symbols.

But in everyday use, there is nothing special to do, except sending thoughts of love and harmony if you wish to intensify its action.

How to draw a flower of life?

This sacred symbol is formed by 19 evenly spaced circles with symmetry.

Although it may seem difficult to reproduce at first glance, it is actually quite easy once you understand how it is formed.

The essential tool is, of course, a compass, and a support.

Take your compass and draw the first circle. While keeping the same diameter, draw a second circle by placing the compass tip on a point on the circumference of the first circle. You will see that the intersections are actually the centers of each circle.

Next, place the compass tip on one of the intersections of the two circles previously drawn, and draw a third circle. Continue drawing the four remaining circles using the same method, and you will then have the seed of life.

Then add 12 additional circles around the seed of life following the same procedure.

Done? Perfect, now you just have to add the semi-circles to complete the drawing.

There you go, it wasn’t so complicated after all.
