Everything you need to know about the Flower of Life

For about forty years, the Flower of Life has intrigued and sparked a lot of interest; in the 2000s, Drunvalo Melchizedek published a two-volume book entitled The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life; it is the most comprehensive work available on this subject.
Certainly, the Flower of Life is intriguing, but what exactly is it?

Definition and origins of the Flower of Life:

The Flower of Life is a very ancient geometric figure. It has been found on several ancient monuments in various parts of the world.
The oldest known representation of the “overlapping circles” pattern dates back to the 7th or 6th century BCE, found on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Ashurbanipal in Dur-Sharrukin (now at the Louvre).
Another pattern has also been found drawn on the granite columns of the temple of Osiris in Abydos, Egypt; it is a figure with five patterns of 19 overlapping circles.
It is composed of 19 evenly spaced circles that overlap symmetrically.

How to draw the Flower of Life?

The essential tool is, of course, a compass. Set a radius and keep it constant throughout the drawing, as all the circles have the same radius.
Start by drawing the first circle, then the second one by placing the compass point on a point of the first circle; the second circle will necessarily pass through the center of the first one. Continue in this way and draw as many circles as you want. Because this figure can be reproduced infinitely.

Flower of Life and Sacred Geometry:

The Flower of Life is a figure of sacred geometry. It is said to contain a large number of sacred geometry symbols such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, the Fibonacci sequence… Other symbols such as the Seed of Life, the Tree of Life, and the Germ of Life stem from it.
It may even have a connection to Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing called the Vitruvian Man, representing the human body according to divine proportions.
The Flower of Life is said to be linked to the Golden Ratio and the Divine Proportion, which are believed to have been used in the construction of the pyramids of Egypt and cathedrals.
For some, it is present absolutely everywhere, in all cells, atoms, and molecular structures, and may even be the origin of life.

What is Sacred Geometry?

These are special figures due to their proportions or the intimate relationship they have with the Golden Ratio (or Phi). They can be found in ancient monuments, nature, and even the human body.
Let’s detail the main figures of sacred geometry below:

Platonic Solids:

Also known as Platonic solids, these are five polyhedra with unique properties. Their surfaces have the same area; the edges of each Platonic solid have the same length; the angles formed by all the edges are the same; if any Platonic solid is placed in a sphere that encompasses it at any point, all its vertices touch the inner surface of the sphere.
The Platonic solids are the cube, the tetrahedron, the octahedron, the icosahedron, and the dodecahedron.

Metatron’s Cube:

It is one of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry. It is actually the seal of Archangel Metatron. According to Drunvalo Melchizedek, the five Platonic solids originate from the Fruit of Life, a figure hidden in Metatron’s Cube.

Merkaba:

It is the light body of the human being. In his work, Drunvalo Melchizedek explains the origin of this word. In Hebrew, Mer-Ka-Va literally means “throne of God” and “chariot” or “chariot”; in Egyptian, Mer-Ka-Ba can be broken down into “Mer”, which means “light field,” “Ka” means “spirit,” and “Ba” represents the human body. It is, in fact, the light body of the human being.

Vesica Piscis:

It is one of the most prominent figures in the Flower of Life and one of the most important ratios. The Vesica Piscis is the geometric figure formed by the intersection of two circles of the same diameter, with the center of each circle lying on the circumference of the other circle. Also called mandorla (almond), this figure is considered one of the keys to Pythagorean esotericism.

Seed of Life:

The Seed of Life is at the center of the Flower of Life. It is composed of seven circles, like the seven days of creation. Composed of six outer circles and a central circle, for a total of seven, it can be considered as consisting of seven seeds of life.

What are the benefits of the Flower of Life?

The Flower of Life is a form wave that harmonizes everything that is discordant. It regenerates infinitely, so there is nothing to do to purify it.
This symbol is supposed to represent creation; that is, the entire universe. The symbol of the Flower of Life is said to be the origin of everything that exists in creation, absolutely everything; all biological forms of life, crystalline structures, DNA molecules.
In fact, it indicates to us that all life comes from a single source. All forms of life are therefore intimately connected to the Flower of Life, which also means that all forms of life are interconnected.

How to use the Flower of Life?

First and foremost, it is a powerful meditation support. But it can be used in many other ways in daily life.
The Flower of Life can be used to drink energized water: simply place the water in a Flower of Life carafe for a few hours before drinking it.
The Flower of Life helps purify and recharge crystals. It is also used to create crystal grids.
It helps to better preserve food, essential oils, and, in general, any substances you want to harmonize and energize.
It is also used to harmonize a space like a living room, a waiting room, an office…
Finally, it is very pleasant to wear it; it helps maintain a high level of energy throughout the day and serves as protection, making us less susceptible to heavy and unwanted energies.
To do this, you can either choose jewelry like a pendant or a ring, or wear clothing like a T-shirt, for example.
If you like tattoos, you can get a Flower of Life tattooed on your body, or in the meantime, why not try a temporary Flower of Life tattoo.
