All about the Flower of Life

For about forty years, the Flower of Life has intrigued and sparked much discussion; in the 2000s, Drunvalo Melchizedek published a two-volume book entitled The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life, which is the most comprehensive book on the subject.
Obviously, the Flower of Life is intriguing, but what is it exactly?

Definition and Origins of the Flower of Life:

The Flower of Life is a very ancient geometric figure. It has been found on several ancient monuments in various parts of the world.
The oldest known representation of the “overlapping circles” motif dates back to the 7th or 6th century BC, found on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Ashurnasirpal II in Dur-Sharrukin (now in the Louvre).
Another motif has also been found drawn on the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris in Abydos, Egypt; it is a representation with five motifs of 19 overlapping circles
It is formed by 19 evenly spaced circles, which overlap symmetrically.

How to Draw the Flower of Life?

The essential tool is obviously the compass. Choose a specific width and keep it consistent throughout the drawing, as all the circles have the same diameter.
First, draw a circle, then draw a second one by placing the compass on a point of the first circle; the second circle will necessarily pass through the center of the first. Continue this process and draw as many circles as you like, as this figure can be reproduced infinitely.

Flower of Life and Sacred Geometry:

The Flower of Life is a figure of sacred geometry. It is said to contain many symbols of sacred geometry such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, the Fibonacci sequence… Other figures such as the Seed of Life, the Tree of Life, and the Egg of Life are derived from it.
It may even be related to Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing titled the Vitruvian Man, which depicts the human body elaborated according to divine proportions.
The Flower of Life is said to be linked to the golden ratio and divine proportion, which were used to build the pyramids of Egypt and cathedrals.
Some believe that it is present everywhere, in all cells, atoms, and molecular structures, and may even be the origin of life itself.

What is Sacred Geometry?

These are special shapes due to their proportions or their close connection to the golden ratio (or Phi ratio). They can be found in ancient monuments, nature, and even the human body.
Let’s go into detail about the main figures of sacred geometry:

Platonic Solids:

Also known as Platonic solids, they are five polyhedra with specific properties. Their surfaces have the same area, the edges of each Platonic solid have the same length, and the angles formed by all the edges are the same. If any Platonic solid is placed inside a sphere, all its tips touch the inner surface of the sphere.
The Platonic Solids are the Cube, Tetrahedron, Octahedron, Icosahedron, and Dodecahedron.

Metatron’s Cube:

It is one of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry. It is believed to be the vessel of the Archangel Metatron. According to Drunvalo Melchizedek, the five Platonic solids come from the Fruit of Life, a figure hidden within Metatron’s Cube.

Merkaba:

It is the light body of the human being. In his work, Drunvalo Melchizedek explains the origin of this word. In Hebrew, Mer-Ka-Vah literally means “God’s throne and chariot”; in Egyptian, Mer-Ka-Ba breaks down into Mer meaning “light field,” Ka meaning “spirit,” and Ba representing the human body. It is, in fact, the light body of the human being.

Vesica Piscis:

It is one of the most prominent figures in the Flower of Life and one of the most important ratios.
The Vesica Piscis is the geometric figure formed by the intersection of two circles with the same diameter, with the center of each circle on the circumference of the other. Also called mandorla (almond), this figure is considered one of the keys to Pythagorean esotericism.

Seed of Life:

The Seed of Life is at the center of the Flower of Life. It is composed of seven circles, like the seven days of creation.
Composed of six outer circles and a central circle, totaling seven, it can be considered as comprising seven seeds of life.

What are the Benefits of the Flower of Life?

The Flower of Life is a form wave that harmonizes what is discordant. It regenerates infinitely, so there is nothing to do to recharge it.
This symbol is supposed to represent creation, meaning the entire universe. The symbol of the Flower of Life is said to be the origin of everything that exists in creation, without exception; all biological life forms, crystalline structures, DNA molecules.
In fact, it indicates that all life originates from a single source. All forms of life are intimately connected to the Flower of Life, which also implies that all forms of life are interconnected.

How to Use the Flower of Life?

First and foremost, it is a powerful meditation tool. But it can also be used in daily life in many other ways.
The Flower of Life allows you to drink energized water: simply pour water into a Flower of Life carafe for a few hours before drinking it.
The Flower of Life is a tool for purifying and recharging crystals. It can also be used to create crystal grids.
It is used to better preserve food, essential oils, and, in general, any substances you want to harmonize and energize.
It is also used to harmonize a space like a living room, waiting room, or office.
It is also very pleasant to wear it on your body; it helps maintain a high level of energy throughout the day and serves as protection, making us less permeable to heavy and unwanted energies.
For this, you can either choose jewelry such as a pendant or ring, or wear clothing such as a t-shirt.
If you like tattoos, you can get a Flower of Life tattooed on your body, and to start with, why not try a temporary Flower of Life tattoo.
