Everything you need to know about the Flower of Life

For about forty years, the Flower of Life has intrigued and sparked discussion; in the 2000s, Drunvalo Melchizedek published a two-volume work entitled “The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life”; it is the most comprehensive work available on this subject.
Clearly, the Flower of Life is intriguing, but what is it exactly?

Definition and origins of the Flower of Life:

The Flower of Life is a very ancient symbol of sacred geometry. It has been found on many ancient monuments in various parts of the world.
The oldest known representation of the “overlapping circles” pattern dates back to the 7th or 6th century BC, found on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Ashurbanipal in Dur-Sharrukin (now in the Louvre).
Another pattern has also been found drawn on the granite columns of the temple of Osiris in Abydos, Egypt; it is a representation with five patterns of 19 overlapping circles.
It is composed of 19 regularly spaced circles, which overlap in a symmetrical way.

How to draw the Flower of Life?

The essential tool is obviously the compass. Choose a distance and keep it until the end of the drawing, as all the circles have the same diameter.
Start by drawing a first circle, then a second one by placing the compass point on a point of the first circle; the second circle will necessarily pass through the center of the first one. Then continue like this and draw as many circles as you want. Because this pattern can be reproduced infinitely.

Flower of Life and sacred geometry:

The Flower of Life is a symbol of sacred geometry. It is said to contain many symbols of sacred geometry such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, the Fibonacci sequence… Other figures such as the Seed of Life, the Tree of Life, and the Egg of Life are derived from it.
It may even be linked to Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing called the Vitruvian Man, reproducing the human body according to divine proportions.
The Flower of Life is directly linked to the golden ratio and the divine proportion, which are said to have been used to build the pyramids of Egypt and the cathedrals.
Some believe that it is present absolutely everywhere, in all cells, atoms, and molecular structures, and may even be the origin of life itself.

What is sacred geometry?

These are special figures that are either in proportion or appear to be intimately related to the golden ratio (or Phi ratio). They can be found on ancient monuments, in nature, and even in the human body.
Let’s detail the main figures of sacred geometry below:

Platonic solids:

Also known as Platonic solids, these are five polyhedra with specific properties. Their surfaces have the same area; the edges of each Platonic solid have the same length; the angles formed by all the edges are the same; if any Platonic solid is placed within a sphere that completely surrounds it, all the vertices touch the inner surface of the sphere.
The Platonic solids are the cube, the tetrahedron, the octahedron, the icosahedron, and the dodecahedron.

Metatron’s Cube:

It is one of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry. It is actually the seal of the archangel Metatron. According to Drunvalo Melchizedek, the five Platonic solids come from the fruit of life, a figure hidden inside Metatron’s Cube.

Merkaba:

It is the light body of the human being. In his work, Drunvalo Melchizedek explains the origin of this word. In Hebrew, Mer-Ka-Vah literally means “God’s throne” and “chariot” or “chariot”; in Egyptian, Mer-Ka-Ba breaks down into “Mer” meaning “light field,” “Ka” meaning “spirit,” and “Ba” representing the human body. It is, in fact, the light body of the human being.

Vesica Piscis:

It is one of the figures most present in the Flower of Life and one of the most important ratios.
The Vesica Piscis is the geometric figure formed by the intersection of two circles of the same diameter, with each circle’s center belonging to the circumference of the other. Also called mandorla (almond), this figure is considered one of the keys to Pythagorean esotericism.

Seed of Life:

The Seed of Life is at the center of the Flower of Life. It is composed of seven circles, like the seven days of creation.
Composed of six circles plus a central circle, for a total of seven, it can be considered as consisting of seven seed of life patterns.

What are the benefits of the Flower of Life?

The Flower of Life is a form wave that harmonizes everything that is discordant. It regenerates infinitely, so there is nothing to do to purify it.
This symbol is supposed to represent creation; that is, the entire universe. The symbol of the Flower of Life is said to originate from everything that exists in creation, absolutely everything; all biological life forms, crystalline structures, DNA molecules.
In fact, it indicates to us that all life comes from a single source. All forms of life are therefore intimately linked to the Flower of Life, which also means that all forms of life are interconnected.

How to use the Flower of Life?

First and foremost, it is a powerful meditation tool. But it can also be used in many other ways in everyday life.
The Flower of Life is used to drink energized water: simply put the water in a Flower of Life carafe for a few hours before drinking it.
The Flower of Life helps purify and recharge crystals. It is also used to create crystal grids.
It helps preserve food, essential oils, and, in general, any substances you want to harmonize and energize.
It is also used to harmonize a space such as a living room, waiting room, or office.
Moreover, it is very pleasant to wear it; it helps maintain a high level of energy throughout the day and serves as protection, making us less receptive to heavy and unwanted energies.
For that, you can either choose a piece of jewelry like a pendant or a ring, or wear a garment like a t-shirt for example.
If you like tattoos, you can get a Flower of Life tattooed on your body, and in the meantime, why not try a temporary Flower of Life tattoo.
