Everything you need to know about the Flower of Life

For about forty years, the Flower of Life has intrigued and fascinated many. In the 2000s, Drunvalo Melchizedek published a two-volume work called “The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life,” which is the most comprehensive book on the subject.

Definition and Origins of the Flower of Life:

The Flower of Life is a very ancient geometric figure. It has been found on various ancient monuments in different parts of the world. The oldest known representation of the “overlapping circles” pattern dates back to the 7th or 6th century BC and was found on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Ashurbanipal in Dur Sharrukin (now at the Louvre Museum).

Another pattern was also found drawn on the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris in Abydos, Egypt. It is a representation with five patterns of 19 overlapping circles. It is composed of 19 regularly spaced circles that overlap symmetrically.

How to draw the Flower of Life?

The essential tool is, of course, a compass. Choose a radius and keep it constant throughout the drawing process because all the circles have the same radius.
Start by drawing the first circle, then the second by placing the compass point on a point of the first circle; the second circle will necessarily pass through the center of the first. Continue this process and draw as many circles as you want. This figure can be reproduced infinitely.

Flower of Life and Sacred Geometry:

The Flower of Life is a symbol of sacred geometry. It is said to contain many other sacred geometric symbols, such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, and the Fibonacci sequence. Other symbols, such as the Seed of Life, the Tree of Life, and the Egg of Life, derive from it. It is even said to be connected to Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing, the Vitruvian Man, which beautifully depicts the proportions of the human body. The Flower of Life is also linked to the Golden Ratio and the Divine Proportion, which were used to build the Egyptian pyramids and cathedrals. Some believe that it is present everywhere, in every cell, atom, and molecular structure, and may even be the origin of life itself.

What is Sacred Geometry?

Sacred Geometry refers to specific forms that are either proportionate or closely related to the Golden Ratio (or Phi). These forms can be found in ancient monuments, nature, and even the human body. Let’s take a closer look at the main figures of Sacred Geometry:

Platonic Solids:

Also known as Platonic solids, these are five polyhedra with unique properties. Their surfaces have equal areas, their edges all have the same length, and the angles formed by their edges are identical. If you place any Platonic solid in a sphere that fully contains it, all of its points will touch the sphere’s inner surface.
The Platonic solids are the cube, tetrahedron, octahedron, icosahedron, and dodecahedron.

Metatron’s Cube:

One of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry, it is said to be the “seal” of the Archangel Metatron. According to Drunvalo Melchizedek, the five Platonic solids originate from the Fruit of Life, a hidden figure within Metatron’s Cube.

The Merkaba:

It is the light body of the human being. According to Drunvalo Melchizedek, the word Mer-Ka-Vah means “God’s throne” and “chariot” in Hebrew, while Mer-Ka-Ba breaks down into Mer, which means “light field,” Ka, meaning “spirit,” and Ba, representing the human body. It is, in fact, the human being’s light body.

Vesica Piscis:

One of the most prevalent figures in the Flower of Life and one of the most important ratios. The Vesica Piscis is the geometric figure formed by the intersection of two circles of the same diameter, with the center of each circle belonging to the circumference of the other. Also known as the mandorla, it is considered one of the keys to Pythagorean esotericism.

Seed of Life:

The Seed of Life is at the center of the Flower of Life. It is composed of seven circles, representing the seven days of creation. Composed of six outer circles and a central circle, totaling seven, it can be considered to consist of seven seeds of life.

What are the benefits of the Flower of Life?

The Flower of Life is a sacred form that harmonizes everything that is discordant. It regenerates endlessly, so there is nothing to do to recharge it. This symbol represents creation, the entire universe. The Flower of Life is said to be the origin of everything in creation—absolutely everything, all biological life forms, crystalline structures, DNA molecules—indicating that all life comes from a single source. Therefore, all life forms are intimately connected to the Flower of Life, which also implies that all life forms are interconnected.

How to use the Flower of Life?

First and foremost, it is a powerful tool for meditation. However, it can also be used in various ways in everyday life.
The Flower of Life can be used to energize water by pouring it into a Flower of Life carafe for a few hours before drinking it. It can be used to purify and recharge crystals and to create crystal grids. It helps preserve food, essential oils, and other substances that you want to harmonize and energize. It can also be used to harmonize a space, such as a living room, waiting room, or office. Additionally, wearing it can help maintain high energy levels throughout the day and provide protection, making us less sensitive to negative and unwanted energies. You can choose to wear it as jewelry, such as a pendant or ring, or wear it as clothing, like a t-shirt. If you enjoy tattoos, you can get a Flower of Life tattooed on your body, or start with a temporary Flower of Life tattoo.
