What is the Flower of Life and how does it work?

What is the function of the Flower of Life?

This sacred geometry symbol is so ancient that we do not really know the origin of its creation. It has been found all over the world, at different times, in several sacred buildings.

The oldest known representation to date was found in the palace of King Assurbanipal in Dur-Sharrukin in Assyria, dating back to 645 BC.

Another representation of the Flower of Life was discovered on one of the granite columns of the temple of Osiris in Abydos, an ancient city in Egypt.

Abydos is the most important worship place of Osiris, the god of the Dead, and seemed to symbolize the passage to eternity for the ancient Egyptians. Abydos, as the cult center of Osiris, was then the main access to the afterlife.

The Flower of Life symbol contains many geometric shapes such as the platonic solids, the Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, and Leonardo da Vinci’s famous Vitruvian Man. This is the world of sacred geometry. These are forms with perfect proportions, as can be seen in nature. Based on the golden ratio (PHI), it has served as the foundation for the construction of famous monuments such as pyramids, cathedrals, and ancient temples.

It is said to be present in absolutely everything, in cells, molecular structures…and it is the very origin of life.

The platonic solids are five regular polyhedra that have unique characteristics, as they are the basis of all structures. They are the tetrahedron, the hexahedron (or cube), the octahedron, the dodecahedron, and the icosahedron.

These geometric symbols are regular convex polyhedra and there are only five of them. Indeed, to be regular, a polyhedron must have the same number of regular polygons at each of its vertices. In addition, the sum of the angles at the vertices of the regular polygons must be strictly less than 360°.

Mathematically, the Euler’s formula (F+S-A=2), where F is the number of faces, A is the number of edges, and S is the number of vertices, is verified for the platonic solids.

Energetically, the platonic solids are used for healing purposes as they help to perfect the vibrational rate of a person. They connect the chakras to universal energy, thus strengthening the light bodies.

The Flower of Life is a form wave that helps raise the vibrational rate of a person or a place. Form waves are vibrations generated or amplified by a shape.

Flowers of Life can also be used for food and drinks, essential oils, etc…

How to use a Flower of Life?

This sacred symbol can be used in multiple ways. Its mere presence in a room has a harmonizing effect. It helps raise vibrations by restructuring what is discordant.

It helps revitalize water and allows for better food preservation.

It can serve as a talisman, worn as jewelry (pendant, bracelet, earrings…) or on our clothing. Some choose this pattern as a tattoo. If you are not sure which part of your body to tattoo the Flower of Life, you can start with a temporary tattoo.

It can also be used as a support for meditation or to recharge stones and crystals.

It can also be used to create healing and harmonizing crystal grids.

How to activate a Flower of Life?

In terms of spiritual energy, this form wave is a vibration that puts us in contact with the Authentic Source of all life, i.e. the divine.

To benefit from its beneficial properties, it is not necessary to activate it or do anything. It works infinitely to rebalance our energies. The effects can be perceived on a mental, physical, and emotional level.

Some people talk about activating the Flower of Life as part of energy work, to anchor the symbols.

But in everyday use there is nothing specific to do, except to send thoughts of love and harmony if you want to intensify its action.

How to draw a Flower of Life?

This geometric shape is made up of nineteen evenly spaced circles with symmetry.

Although this figure may seem difficult to reproduce at first glance, it is actually quite easy once you understand how it is formed.

The essential tool is of course the compass, and a support.

Take your compass and draw a first circle. While keeping the same radius, draw a second circle by placing the compass point on a point on the first circle. You will see that the intersections are actually the central points of each circle.

Then place the compass point on one of the intersections of the two previously drawn circles, and draw a third circle. Continue to draw the four other circles using the same method, and you will then obtain the seed of life.

Then add 12 additional circles around the seed of life using the same procedure.

Done? Perfect, now all that’s left is to add the semicircles to complete the figure.

There you go, it was pretty easy, wasn’t it?
