Everything you need to know about the Flower of Life

Since the 1980s, the Flower of Life has intrigued and sparked conversation. In 1999, Drunvalo Melchizedek published a two-volume work called The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life, which is the most comprehensive book to date on this subject.
Indeed, the Flower of Life is intriguing, but what is it exactly?

Definition and origins of the Flower of Life:

The Flower of Life is a very ancient geometric figure. It has been found on several ancient monuments in various parts of the world.
The oldest known representation of the “overlapping circles” pattern dates back to the 7th or 6th century BCE, found on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Ashurbanipal in Dur-Sharrukin (now in the Louvre Museum).
Another pattern has also been found drawn on the granite columns of the temple of Osiris in Abydos, Egypt; it is a representation with five motifs of 19 overlapping circles.
It is formed by 19 evenly spaced circles that overlap symmetrically.

How to draw the Flower of Life?

The essential tool is obviously the compass. Choose a certain width and maintain it throughout the drawing process, as all the circles have the same diameter.
Start by drawing the first circle, then a second one with the compass point on a point of the first circle; the second circle will necessarily pass through the center of the first one. Continue this process and draw as many circles as you want. In fact, this pattern can extend indefinitely.

Flower of Life and sacred geometry:

The Flower of Life is a symbol of sacred geometry. It is said to contain numerous symbols of sacred geometry, such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, the Fibonacci sequence… Other figures, such as the Seed of Life, the Tree of Life, and the Egg of Life, stem from it.
It even has a connection to Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing called the Vitruvian Man, which reproduces the human body created according to divine proportions.
The Flower of Life is also directly linked to the Golden ratio and the Divine Proportion, which are said to have been used in the construction of the Egyptian pyramids and cathedrals.
For some, it is present absolutely everywhere, in all cells, atoms, and molecular structures, and might even be the origin of life itself.

What is sacred geometry?

These are special shapes due to their proportions or their close relationship to the Golden ratio (or Phi ratio). They can be found in ancient monuments, nature, and even the human body.
Let’s delve into the main figures of sacred geometry:

The Platonic solids:

Also known as Platonic solids, they are five polyhedra with unique properties. Their surfaces have the same area; the edges of each Platonic solid have the same length; the angles formed by all the edges are the same; if any Platonic solid is placed inside a sphere that circumscribes it at every point, all its peaks touch the inner surface of the sphere.
The Platonic solids are the cube, tetrahedron, octahedron, icosahedron, and dodecahedron.

Metatron’s Cube:

It is one of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry. It is believed to be the hidden fruit of life figure within the cube of Metatron, according to Drunvalo Melchizedek.

Merkaba:

It is the light body of the human being. In his work, Drunvalo Melchizedek explains the origin of this word. In Hebrew, Mer-Ka-Vah literally means “throne of God” and “chariot” or “vehicle”; in Egyptian, Mer-Ka-Ba can be decomposed to Mer, which means light field, Ka meaning spirit, and Ba representing the human body. It is essentially the light body of the human being.

Vesica Pisces:

It is one of the figures most present in the Flower of Life and one of the most important ratios.
The Vesica Piscis is the geometric figure formed by the intersection of two circles of the same diameter, with the center of each circle belonging to the circumference of the other. Also known as a mandorla (almond), this figure is considered one of the keys to Pythagorean esotericism.

Seed of Life:

The Seed of Life is at the center of the Flower of Life. It consists of seven circles, just like the seven days of creation.
Composed of six outer circles and a central circle, for a total of seven, it can be considered as made up of seven seeds of life.

What are the benefits of the Flower of Life?

The Flower of Life is a form wave that harmonizes anything that is discordant. It continuously regenerates, so there is nothing to do to recharge it.
This symbol is supposed to represent creation; that is, the entire universe. The symbol of the Flower of Life is said to be the origin of everything that exists in creation, without exception; all biological life forms, crystalline structures, DNA molecules.
In fact, it indicates that all life originates from a single source. All forms of life are therefore intimately connected to the Flower of Life, which also means that all forms of life are interconnected.

How to use the Flower of Life?

First and foremost, it is a powerful meditation tool. But it can also be used in many other ways in everyday life.
The Flower of Life is used to drink energized water: simply put water in a Flower of Life carafe for a few hours before drinking it.
It is also used to purify and recharge crystals. It is also used to create crystal grids.
It helps preserve food, essential oils, and more generally, any substances you want to harmonize and energize.
It is also used to harmonize a space, such as a living room, waiting room, office…
Moreover, it is very enjoyable to wear it; it helps maintain a high energy level throughout the day and serves as protection, making us less permeable to heavy and unwanted energies.
You can either choose a piece of jewelry, such as a pendant or a ring, or wear a garment, such as a t-shirt.
If you like tattoos, you can have a Flower of Life tattooed on your body, and initially, why not try a temporary Flower of Life tattoo.
