Everything you need to know about the Flower of Life

Since the 80s, the Flower of Life has intrigued and sparked much interest. In 1999, Drunvalo Melchizedek published a two-volume book entitled “The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life,” which is the most comprehensive book on the subject.
It is evident that the flower of life is intriguing, but what exactly is it?

Definition and Origins of the Flower of Life:

The flower of life is a very ancient geometric figure. It has been found on numerous ancient monuments in various parts of the world.
The oldest known representation of the “overlapping circles” motif dates back to the 7th or 6th century BC and was found on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Ashurbanipal in Dur Sharrukin (now in the Louvre).
Another motif has also been found drawn on the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris in Abydos, Egypt; it is a figure with five patterns of 19 overlapping circles.
It is formed by 19 regularly spaced circles that overlap symmetrically.

How to draw the Flower of Life?

The essential tool is, of course, the compass. Choose a setting and keep it throughout the drawing because all the circles have the same radius.
Start by drawing the first circle, then draw a second one by placing the compass point on a point of the first circle; the second circle will necessarily pass through the center of the first. Then continue and draw as many circles as you want. Because this pattern can extend infinitely.

Flower of Life and Sacred Geometry:

The flower of life is a figure of sacred geometry. It contains numerous symbols of sacred geometry such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, the Fibonacci sequence… Other symbols such as the seed of life, the tree of life, and the egg of life stem from it.
It even has a connection to Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing called the Vitruvian Man, representing the human body built according to divine proportions.
The flower of life is directly related to the golden ratio and the divine proportion, which were used to build the Egyptian pyramids and cathedrals.
Some believe that it is present absolutely everywhere, in all cells, atoms, and molecular structures, and may even be the origin of life.

What is Sacred Geometry?

These are particular shapes either due to their proportions or because they seem intimately connected to the golden ratio (or Phi). They can be found on ancient monuments, in nature, and even in the human body.
Let’s detail the main figures of sacred geometry below:

The Platonic Solids:

Also called Platonic solids, these are five polyhedra with specific properties. Their surfaces have the same area; the edges of each Platonic solid have identical lengths; the angles formed by all the edges are the same; if any Platonic solid is placed in a sphere that entirely surrounds it, all its vertices touch the inner surface of the sphere.
The Platonic Solids are the cube, the tetrahedron, the octahedron, the icosahedron, and the dodecahedron.

Metatron’s Cube:

It is one of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry. It is said to be the seal of Archangel Metatron. According to Drunvalo Melchizedek, the five Platonic solids stem from the seed of life, a figure hidden within Metatron’s Cube.

The Merkaba:

It is the light body of the human being. In his book, Drunvalo Melchizedek explains the origin of this word. In Hebrew, Mer-Ka-Vah literally means “Throne of God” and “Chariot” or “Vehicle”; in Egyptian, Mer-Ka-Ba breaks down to Mer, which means “light field,” Ka meaning “spirit,” and Ba representing the human body. It is, in fact, the light body of the human being.

The Vesica Piscis:

It is one of the most common figures in the flower of life and one of the most important ratios.
The Vesica Piscis is the geometric figure formed by the intersection of two circles of the same diameter, with the center of each circle belonging to the circumference of the other. Also known as the almond-shaped figure, it is considered one of the keys to Pythagorean esotericism.

The Seed of Life:

The seed of life is at the center of the flower of life. It is composed of seven circles, like the seven days of creation.
Composed of six circles plus a central circle, totaling seven, one can consider that it is made up of seven seeds of life.

What are the benefits of the flower of life?

The flower of life is a form wave that harmonizes anything that is discordant. It regenerates infinitely, so there is nothing to do to recharge it.
This symbol is supposed to represent creation, that is, the entire universe. The flower of life symbol is believed to be the origin of everything that exists in creation, without exception; all biological life forms, crystalline structures, DNA molecules.
In fact, it tells us that all life originates from a single source. All forms of life are thus intimately connected to the flower of life, which also implies that all forms of life are interconnected.

How to use the flower of life?

It is primarily a powerful meditation tool. But it can also be used in many other ways in everyday life.
The flower of life allows you to drink energized water: simply pour water into a flower of life carafe for a few hours before drinking it.
The flower of life is a tool for purifying and recharging crystals. It is also used to create crystal grids.
It helps preserve food, essential oils, and in general, all substances that you wish to harmonize and energize.
It is also used to harmonize a space such as a living room, waiting room, or office.
Furthermore, it is very pleasant to wear it; it helps maintain a high energy level throughout the day and serves as protection, making us less permeable to heavy and unwanted energies.
For this, you can either choose a piece of jewelry like a pendant or a ring or wear clothing like a t-shirt for example.
If you like tattoos, you can get a flower of life tattooed on your body, and initially, why not try a temporary flower of life tattoo.
