All About the Flower of Life

For about forty years, the Flower of Life has intrigued and fascinated people. In the 2000s, Drunvalo Melchizedek published a two-volume work called “The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life,” which is the most comprehensive book available to date on the subject. The Flower of Life is a very ancient geometric symbol. It has been found on many ancient monuments in various parts of the world. The oldest known representation of the pattern of “overlapping circles” dates back to the 7th or 6th century BC, found on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Ashurbanipal in Dur Sharrukin (now in the Louvre Museum). Another pattern has also been found inscribed on the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris in Abydos, Egypt. It is a figure with five 19-circle motifs that overlap symmetrically.

How to Draw the Flower of Life?

The essential tool is, of course, the compass. Set the distance and keep it consistent throughout the construction, as all circles have the same diameter. Start by drawing the first circle, then the second by placing the compass point on a point of the first circle; the second circle will necessarily pass through the center of the first. Continue in this way and draw as many circles as you want because this figure can extend infinitely.

Flower of Life and Sacred Geometry

The Flower of Life is a figure of sacred geometry. It is said to contain a large number of sacred geometric symbols such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, the Fibonacci sequence, and more. Other figures such as the Seed of Life, the Tree of Life, and the Egg of Life are derived from it. Some even believe that it is present everywhere, in all cells, atoms, and molecular structures, and may even be the origin of life itself.

What is Sacred Geometry?

These are special forms characterized by their proportions or their close relationship to the golden ratio (or Phi). They can be found in ancient monuments, nature, and even the human body. Let’s explore the main figures of sacred geometry:

Platonic Solids:

Also known as Platonic solids, these are five polyhedra with unique properties. They all have the same surface area, edges of the same length, and angles formed by all edges are the same. If any Platonic solid is placed inside a sphere that circumscribes it at every point, all its tips touch the inner surface of the sphere. The Platonic solids are the cube, the tetrahedron, the octahedron, the icosahedron, and the dodecahedron.

Metatron’s Cube:

One of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry, it is believed to be the seal of the archangel Metatron. According to Drunvalo Melchizedek, the five Platonic solids come from the Fruit of Life, a figure hidden within Metatron’s Cube.

Merkaba:

It is the light body of the human being. In his book, Drunvalo Melchizedek explains the origin of this word. In Hebrew, Merkavah literally means “throne of God” and “chariot” or “vehicle,” while in Egyptian, Mer-Ka-Ba breaks down into “Mer,” which means light field, “Ka,” which means spirit, and “Ba,” which represents the human body. It is actually the light body of the human being.

Vesica Piscis:

One of the most prominent figures in the Flower of Life and one of the most important ratios. The Vesica Piscis is the geometric figure formed by the intersection of two circles of the same diameter, with the center of each circle belonging to the circumference of the other circle. Also known as the “mandorla” (almond), this figure is considered one of the keys to Pythagorean esotericism.

Seed of Life:

The Seed of Life is at the center of the Flower of Life. It is composed of seven circles, representing the seven days of creation. Comprised of six surrounding circles and a central circle, totaling seven, it can be considered as consisting of seven seeds of life.

What are the Benefits of the Flower of Life?

The Flower of Life is a form wave that harmonizes everything that is otherwise discordant. It regenerates infinitely, so there is no need to purify it. This symbol is supposed to represent creation, that is, the entire universe. The Flower of Life symbol is said to be the origin of everything that exists in creation, absolutely everything; all biological life forms, crystalline structures, DNA molecules. In fact, it indicates that all life comes from a single source. Therefore, all forms of life are intimately linked to the Flower of Life, which also implies that all forms of life are interconnected.

How to Use the Flower of Life?

It is primarily a powerful meditation tool, but it can also be used in daily life in various ways. The Flower of Life can be used to drink energized water: simply pour water into a Flower of Life carafe and let it sit for a few hours before drinking. It is also used to purify and recharge crystals, and to create crystal grids. It helps to preserve food, essential oils, and other substances that you wish to harmonize and energize. It can also be used to harmonize a space, such as a living room, waiting area, or office. Lastly, wearing or using the Flower of Life is pleasant; it helps maintain a high level of energy throughout the day and serves as protection, making us less susceptible to heavy and unwanted energies. You can choose to wear jewelry like a pendant or ring, or wear clothing such as a t-shirt. If you like tattoos, you can get a Flower of Life tattooed on your body, or start with a temporary Flower of Life tattoo.
