Everything you need to know about the Flower of Life

Since the 80s, the Flower of Life has intrigued and sparked a lot of interest; in the 2000s, Drunvalo Melchizedek published a two-volume book entitled The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life; it is the most comprehensive book on this subject.
Certainly, the flower of life is intriguing, but what exactly is it?

Definition and origins of the flower of life:

The flower of life is a very ancient geometric symbol. It has been found on many ancient monuments in several places around the world.
The oldest known representation of the “overlapping circles” motif dates back to the 7th or 6th century BC, found on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Ashurbanipal in Dur-Sharrukin (now in the Louvre).
Another motif has also been found drawn on the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris at Abydos, in Egypt; it is a representation with five patterns of 19 overlapping circles,
It is composed of 19 regularly spaced circles, which overlap symmetrically.

How to draw the flower of life?

The essential tool is obviously the compass. Choose a spacing and keep it until the end of the figure, as all the circles have the same diameter.
Start by drawing a first circle, then a second by placing the compass point on a point of the first circle; the second circle will necessarily pass through the center of the first. Then continue like this and draw as many circles as you want. Because this pattern can extend infinitely.

Flower of life and sacred geometry:

The flower of life is a figure of sacred geometry. It is said to contain many symbols of sacred geometry such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s cube, the Vesica Piscis, the Fibonacci sequence… Other figures like the seed of life, the tree of life, and the germ of life are derived from it.
It is even linked to the famous drawing by Leonardo da Vinci entitled Vitruvian Man, which represents the human body according to divine proportions.
The flower of life is directly related to the golden ratio and the divine proportion, which are said to have been used in the construction of the Egyptian pyramids and cathedrals.
Some believe that it is present everywhere, in all cells, atoms, and molecular structures, and may even be the origin of life.

What is sacred geometry?

These are special figures because of their proportions or because they appear to be intimately connected to the golden ratio (or Phi ratio). They can be found in ancient monuments, nature, and even the human body.
Let’s detail the main figures of sacred geometry below:

The Platonic solids:

Also known as Platonic bodies, these are five polyhedra with specific properties. Their surfaces have the same area; the edges of each Platonic body have the same length; the angles formed by all the edges are the same; if any Platonic body is placed in a sphere that surrounds it at every point, all its vertices touch the inner surface of the sphere.
The Platonic solids are the cube, tetrahedron, octahedron, icosahedron, and dodecahedron.

Metatron’s Cube:

This is one of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry. It is said to be the seal of the archangel Metatron. According to Drunvalo Melchizedek, the five Platonic solids come from the fruit of life, a figure hidden within Metatron’s Cube.

The Merkaba:

It is the light body of the human being. In his book, Drunvalo Melchizedek explains the origin of this word. In Hebrew, Mer-Ka-Vah literally means God’s throne and chariot or vehicle; in Egyptian, Mer-Ka-Ba breaks down to Mer, meaning luminous field, Ka meaning spirit, and Ba representing the human body. It is, in fact, the light body of the human being.

The Vesica Piscis:

This is one of the most common figures in the flower of life, and one of the most important ratios.
The Vesica Piscis is the geometric figure formed by the intersection of two circles of the same diameter, with the center of each circle belonging to the circumference of the other. Also called almond shape, this figure is considered one of the keys to Pythagorean esotericism.

The Seed of Life:

The seed of life is at the heart of the flower of life. It is composed of seven circles, like the seven days of creation.
Composed of six circles plus a central circle, totaling seven, it can be considered to be made up of seven seeds of life.

What are the benefits of the flower of life?

The flower of life is a form wave that harmonizes everything that is discordant. It continuously regenerates itself, so there is nothing to do to recharge it.
This symbol represents creation; that is, the entire universe. The symbol of the flower of life is said to be the origin of everything that exists in creation, without exception; all biological life forms, crystalline structures, DNA molecules.
In fact, it indicates that all life comes from a single source. All life forms are therefore intimately linked to the flower of life, which also implies that all life forms are interconnected.

How to use the flower of life?

First and foremost, it is a powerful meditation tool. But it can be used in everyday life in multiple ways.
The flower of life is used to drink energized water: simply put the water in a flower of life pitcher for a few hours before drinking it.
The flower of life is used to purify and recharge crystals. It is also used to create crystal grids.
It is used to better preserve food, essential oils, and in general, any substances you want to harmonize and energize.
It is also used to harmonize a place like a living room, waiting room, office…
Furthermore, it is very pleasant to wear it; it helps maintain a high level of energy throughout the day and serves as a form of protection, making us less susceptible to heavy and unwanted energies.
For this, you can either opt for jewelry like a pendant or a ring or wear clothing like a t-shirt, for example.
If you like tattoos, you can get a flower of life tattooed on your body, and initially, why not try a temporary flower of life tattoo.
