All about the Flower of Life

For about forty years, the Flower of Life has intrigued and sparked a lot of interest; in the 2000s, Drunvalo Melchizedek published a two-volume book entitled The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life; it is the most comprehensive book known to date on this subject.
Certainly, the Flower of Life intrigues, but what is it exactly?

Definition and Origins of the Flower of Life:

The Flower of Life is a very ancient symbol of sacred geometry. It has been found on numerous ancient monuments in several parts of the world.
The oldest known representation of the “overlapping circles” pattern dates back to the 7th or 6th century BCE and was found on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Aššur-bāni-apli in Dur Šarrukin (now at the Louvre).
Another pattern was also found drawn on the granite columns of the temple of Osiris in Abydos, Egypt; it is an engraving with five motifs of 19 overlapping circles.
It is made up of 19 evenly spaced circles that overlap symmetrically.

How to Draw the Flower of Life?

The indispensable tool is obviously the compass. Define a spacing and keep it until the end of the drawing since all circles have the same diameter.
Start by drawing the first circle, then a second one by placing the compass point on a point of the first circle; the second circle will necessarily pass through the center of the first. Then continue in this way and draw as many circles as you wish. In fact, this pattern can extend infinitely.

Flower of Life and Sacred Geometry:

The Flower of Life is a symbol of sacred geometry. It contains many symbols of sacred geometry such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, the Fibonacci sequence… Other symbols such as the Seed of Life, the Tree of Life, and the Egg of Life are derived from it.
It even has a connection with Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing entitled the Vitruvian Man, representing the human body created according to divine proportions.
The Flower of Life is directly related to the golden ratio and the divine proportion, which were used to build the pyramids of Egypt and cathedrals.
For some, it is present everywhere, in all cells, atoms, and molecular structures, and may even be the origin of life.

What is Sacred Geometry?

These are particular shapes due to their proportions or that appear to be intimately linked to the golden ratio (or Phi). They are found in ancient monuments, nature, and even the human body.
Let’s detail below the main figures of sacred geometry:

Platonic Solids:

Also called Platonic solids, these are five polyhedra with unique properties. Their surfaces have the same area; the edges of each Platonic solid have the same length; the angles formed by all the edges are the same; if you place any Platonic solid in a sphere that completely encloses it, all its vertices touch the inner surface of the sphere.
The Platonic solids are the cube, tetrahedron, octahedron, icosahedron, and dodecahedron.

Metatron’s Cube:

It is one of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry. It is said to be the seal of the archangel Metatron. According to Drunvalo Melchizedek, the five Platonic solids come from the fruit of life, a figure hidden in Metatron’s Cube.

Merkaba:

It is the light body of the human being. In his book, Drunvalo Melchizedek explains the origin of this word. In Hebrew, Mer-Ka-Vah literally means the throne of God and chariot or vehicle; in Egyptian, Mer-Ka-Ba breaks down into Mer meaning light field, Ka meaning spirit, and Ba representing the human body. It is actually the light body of the human being.

Vesica Piscis:

It is one of the most prominent figures in the Flower of Life, and one of the most important ratios.
The Vesica Piscis is the geometric figure formed by the intersection of two circles of the same diameter where the center of each circle belongs to the circumference of the other. Also called the almond shape, this figure is considered one of the keys to Pythagorean esotericism.

Seed of Life:

The Seed of Life is at the center of the Flower of Life. It is composed of seven circles, like the seven days of creation.
Composed of six circles plus a central circle, totaling seven, it can be considered as composed of seven seeds of life.

What are the Benefits of the Flower of Life?

The Flower of Life is a form wave that harmonizes anything that is in disharmony. It continuously regenerates, so there is nothing to do to recharge it.
This symbol represents creation; that is, the entire universe. The symbol of the Flower of Life would be the origin of everything that exists in creation, absolutely everything; all biological life forms, crystalline structures, DNA molecules.
In fact, it reminds us that all life comes from a single source. All life forms are therefore intimately connected to the Flower of Life, which also implies that all life forms are interconnected.

How to Use the Flower of Life?

First and foremost, it is a powerful meditation tool. But it can be used in many other ways in everyday life.
The Flower of Life is used to drink energized water: simply put water in a Flower of Life carafe for a few hours before drinking it.
The Flower of Life is used to purify and recharge crystals. It is also used to create crystal grids.
It helps to better preserve food, essential oils, and, in general, all substances you want to harmonize and energize.
It is also used to harmonize a space like a living room, waiting room, or office…
Furthermore, it is very pleasant to wear it; it helps maintain a high level of energy throughout the day and serves as protection, making us less sensitive to heavy and unwanted energies.
For this, you can either choose a piece of jewelry like a pendant or a ring, or wear a garment like a t-shirt for example.
If you like tattoos, you can get a Flower of Life tattoo on your body, and initially, why not try a temporary Flower of Life tattoo.
