Everything you need to know about the Flower of Life

For about forty years, the Flower of Life has intrigued and been talked about; in 1999, Drunvalo Melchizedek published a two-volume work entitled The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life; it is the most comprehensive book known to date on this subject.
Of course, the Flower of Life is intriguing, but what is it exactly?

Definition and Origins of the Flower of Life:

The Flower of Life is a very ancient geometric figure. It has been found on several ancient monuments in various parts of the world.
The oldest known representation of the “overlapping circles” motif dates from the 7th or 6th century BC, found on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Ashurnasirpal II in Dur-Sharrukin (now in the Louvre).
Another motif has also been found drawn on the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris at Abydos, in Egypt; it is an engraving with five configurations of 19 overlapping circles.
It is made up of 19 regularly spaced circles, which overlap symmetrically.

How to draw the Flower of Life?

The essential tool is obviously the compass. Choose a spacing and keep it until the end of the figure’s construction, as all the circles have the same radius.
Start by drawing a first circle, then a second one by placing the compass point on a point of the first circle; the second circle will necessarily pass through the center of the first. Then continue like this and draw as many circles as you want. In fact, this pattern can extend infinitely.

Flower of Life and Sacred Geometry:

The Flower of Life is a symbol of sacred geometry. It is said to contain a large number of symbols of sacred geometry such as the Platonic solids, the Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, the Fibonacci sequence… Other patterns such as the Seed of Life, the Tree of Life, and the Germ of Life stem from it.
It would even have a connection with the famous drawing by Leonardo da Vinci known as the Vitruvian Man, reproducing the human body built according to divine proportions.
The Flower of Life would be linked to the golden ratio and the divine proportion that would have been used to build the pyramids of Egypt and cathedrals.
Some people think that it is present absolutely everywhere, in all cells, atoms, and molecular structures, and may even be the origin of life.

What is Sacred Geometry?

They are special figures due to their proportions or that seem intimately linked to the golden ratio (or Phi ratio). They can be found on ancient monuments, in nature, and even on the human body.
Let’s detail below the main figures of sacred geometry:

The Platonic Solids:

Also called Platonic bodies, these are five polyhedra with specific properties. Their surfaces have the same area; the edges of each Platonic body are the same length; the angles formed by all the edges between them are the same; if any Platonic body is placed in a sphere that circumscribes it at any point, all its points touch the inner surface of the sphere.
The Platonic solids are the cube, the tetrahedron, the octahedron, the icosahedron, and the dodecahedron.

The Metatron’s Cube:

It is one of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry. It is in fact the fruit of life, a figure hidden in the Metatron’s Cube, according to Drunvalo Melchizedek.

The Merkaba:

It is the light body of the human being. In his book, Drunvalo Melchizedek explains the origin of this word. In Hebrew, Mer-Ka-Vah literally means “Throne of God” and “Chariot” or “Cart”; in Egyptian, Mer-Ka-Ba breaks down into Mer, which means “light field”, Ka meaning “spirit”, and Ba representing the human body. It is actually the light body of the human being.

The Vesica Piscis:

This is one of the most present figures in the Flower of Life, and it is one of the most important ratios.
The Vesica Piscis is the geometric figure formed by the intersection of two circles of the same diameter, each circle’s center belonging to the other’s circumference. Also called mandorla (almond), this figure is considered one of the keys to Pythagorean esotericism.

The Seed of Life:

The Seed of Life is at the center of the Flower of Life. It is composed of seven circles, like the seven days of creation. Composed of six circles plus a central circle, making a total of seven, it can be considered to be made up of seven seed of life shapes.

What are the benefits of the Flower of Life?

The Flower of Life is a form wave that harmonizes everything that is discordant. It regenerates continuously, so there is nothing to do to purify it.
This symbol symbolizes creation, that is to say, the entire universe. The symbol of the Flower of Life is said to be the origin of everything that exists in creation, absolutely everything; all biological life forms, crystalline structures, DNA molecules.
In fact, it indicates to us that all life comes from a single source. All life forms are therefore intimately linked to the Flower of Life, which also means that all life forms are interconnected.

How to use the Flower of Life?

First and foremost, it is a powerful meditation tool. But it is also used in everyday life in multiple ways.
The Flower of Life is used to drink energized water: simply put the water in a Flower of Life carafe for a few hours before drinking it.
The Flower of Life is used to purify and recharge crystals. It is also used to create crystal grids.
It helps to better preserve food, essential oils, and in general, any substance you want to harmonize and energize.
It is also used to harmonize a place such as a living room, a waiting room, an office…
Furthermore, it is very pleasant to wear it; it helps to maintain a high level of energy throughout the day and serves as protection, making us less permeable to heavy and unwanted energies.
For this, you can either opt for a piece of jewelry such as a pendant or a ring, or wear clothing such as a t-shirt for example.
If you like tattoos, you can get a Flower of Life tattooed on your body, and initially, why not try a temporary Flower of Life tattoo.
