Everything you need to know about the Flower of Life

For about forty years, the Flower of Life has intrigued and sparked much discussion. In 1999, Drunvalo Melchizedek published a two-volume work called “The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life”; it is the most comprehensive book on this subject.
Of course, the flower of life is intriguing, but what exactly is it?

Definition and origins of the flower of life:

The flower of life is a very ancient geometric figure. It has been found on numerous ancient monuments in various parts of the world.
The oldest known representation of the “overlapping circles” pattern is dated to the 7th or 6th century BC, found on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Ashurbanipal in Dur-Sharrukin (now at the Louvre).
Another pattern has also been found drawn on the granite columns of the temple of Osiris in Abydos, Egypt; it is a drawing with five patterns of 19 overlapping circles.
It is formed by 19 evenly spaced circles that overlap symmetrically.

How to draw the flower of life?

The essential tool is undoubtedly the compass. Choose a radius and keep it consistent throughout the drawing, as all circles have the same diameter.
Start by drawing the first circle, then a second one by placing the compass tip on a point of the first circle; the second circle will necessarily pass through the center of the first. Continue this process and draw as many circles as you want. In fact, this pattern can be reproduced infinitely.

Flower of Life and Sacred Geometry:

The flower of life is a symbol of sacred geometry. It is said to contain a large number of sacred geometry symbols within it, such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, the Fibonacci sequence, and more. Other figures such as the Seed of Life, the Tree of Life, and the Egg of Life are derived from it.
It is even believed to have a connection with Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing titled “Vitruvian Man,” depicting the human body constructed according to divine proportions.
The flower of life is said to be linked to the golden ratio and the divine proportion, which have been used in the construction of the Egyptian pyramids and cathedrals.
Some believe it is present everywhere, in all cells, atoms, and molecular structures, and may even be the origin of life itself.

What is Sacred Geometry?

These are special figures due to their proportions or their intimate connection to the golden ratio (or Phi). They can be found in ancient monuments, nature, and even the human body.
Let’s explore the main figures of sacred geometry below:

The Platonic Solids:

Also known as Platonic solids, these are five polyhedra with specific properties. Their surfaces have the same area; the edges of each Platonic solid have identical lengths; the angles formed by all the edges are the same; if any Platonic solid is placed inside a sphere that surrounds it at every point, all its vertices touch the inner surface of the sphere.
The Platonic solids are the cube, tetrahedron, octahedron, icosahedron, and dodecahedron.

Metatron’s Cube:

It is one of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry. It is, in fact, believed to be the “container” of the Archangel Metatron. According to Drunvalo Melchizedek, the five Platonic solids originate from the fruit of life, a hidden figure within Metatron’s Cube.

The Merkaba:

It is the light body of a human being. In his work, Drunvalo Melchizedek explains the origin of this word. In Hebrew, Mer-Ka-Vah literally means “the throne of God” and “chariot” or “chariot-like”; in Egyptian, Mer-Ka-Ba is composed of “Mer” which means “field of light,” “Ka” which means “spirit,” and “Ba” which represents the human body. It is, in fact, the light body of a human being.

The Vesica Piscis:

It is one of the most common figures in the flower of life, and one of the most important ratios.
The Vesica Piscis is a geometric figure formed by the intersection of two circles of the same diameter, with each circle’s center lying on the circumference of the other. Also known as the “mandorla” (almond), this figure is considered one of the keys of Pythagorean esotericism.

The Seed of Life:

The seed of life is at the center of the flower of life. It is composed of seven circles, symbolizing the seven days of creation.
Composed of six surrounding circles and one central circle, totaling seven, it can be considered as consisting of seven seeds of life.

What are the benefits of the flower of life?

The flower of life is a form of energy that harmonizes everything that is discordant. It regenerates itself infinitely, so there is no need to recharge it.
This symbol represents creation; that is, the entire universe. The flower of life symbol is believed to be the origin of everything that exists in creation, without exception; all biological forms of life, crystalline structures, DNA molecules.
It reminds us that all life comes from a single source. All forms of life are therefore intimately connected to the flower of life, which also means that all forms of life are interconnected.

How to use the flower of life?

First and foremost, it is a powerful tool for meditation. But it can also be used in daily life in multiple ways.
The flower of life can be used to drink energized water: simply pour the water into a flower of life pitcher and let it sit for a few hours before drinking.
The flower of life is a tool for purifying and recharging crystals. It can also be used to create crystal grids.
It helps preserve food, essential oils, and in general, any substances you wish to harmonize and energize.
It is also used to harmonize spaces such as living rooms, waiting rooms, offices…
Furthermore, it is very pleasant to wear it on oneself; it helps maintain high energy levels throughout the day and serves as protection, making us less permeable to heavy and unwanted energies.
For this, you can choose to wear it as jewelry, such as a pendant or a ring, or wear it on clothing, like a t-shirt for example.
If you like tattoos, you can get a flower of life tattooed on your body, and initially, why not try a temporary flower of life tattoo.
