Everything you need to know about the Flower of Life

Since the 1980s, the Flower of Life has intrigued and sparked conversation; in 1999, Drunvalo Melchizedek published a two-volume work titled The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life; it is the most comprehensive book on this subject.
So, the Flower of Life is intriguing, but what exactly is it?

Definition and origins of the Flower of Life:

The Flower of Life is a very ancient symbol of sacred geometry. It has been found on numerous ancient monuments in various parts of the world.
The oldest known representation of the “overlapping circles” motif dates back to the 7th or 6th century BCE and was found on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Ashur-bani-apli in Dur Sharrukin (now in the Louvre Museum).
Another motif was also found drawn on the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris in Abydos, Egypt; it is a representation with five motifs of 19 overlapping circles.
It is composed of 19 regularly spaced circles that overlap symmetrically.

How to draw the Flower of Life?

The essential tool is obviously a compass. Set a specific distance and keep it consistent throughout the figure, as all the circles have the same diameter.
Start by drawing the first circle, then the second by placing the compass point on a point of the first circle; the second circle will necessarily pass through the center of the first. Continue like this and draw as many circles as you want. In fact, this figure can reproduce infinitely.

Flower of Life and sacred geometry:

The Flower of Life is a figure of sacred geometry. It is said to encompass many symbols of sacred geometry such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, the Fibonacci sequence… It is even connected to Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing named Vitruvian Man, which represents the human body based on divine proportions.
The Flower of Life is directly related to the golden ratio and the divine proportion, which are believed to have been used in the construction of the pyramids of Egypt and cathedrals.
For some, it is present absolutely everywhere, in every cell, atom, and molecular structure, and may even be the origin of life itself.

What is sacred geometry?

These are special figures due to their proportions or their close relation to the golden ratio (or Phi ratio). They can be found on ancient monuments, in nature, and even the human body.
Here are the main figures of sacred geometry:

Platonic solids:

Also called Platonic solids, these are five polyhedra with specific properties. Their surfaces have the same area; the edges of each Platonic solid are the same length; the angles formed by all the edges are the same; if you place any Platonic solid inside a sphere that completely encloses it, all its vertices touch the inner surface of the sphere.
The Platonic solids are the cube, tetrahedron, octahedron, icosahedron, and dodecahedron.

Metatron’s Cube:

It is one of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry. It is said to be the hidden form of the Flower of Life inside the cube. According to Drunvalo Melchizedek, the five Platonic solids come from the Fruit of Life, a figure concealed within Metatron’s Cube.

Merkaba:

It is the light body of the human being. In his work, Drunvalo Melchizedek explains the origin of this word. In Hebrew, Mer-Ka-Vah literally means “God’s throne” and “chariot” or “chariot”; in Egyptian, Mer-Ka-Ba is composed of Mer, which means light field, Ka meaning spirit, and Ba representing the human body. It is the light body of the human being.

Vesica Piscis:

It is one of the most prominent figures in the Flower of Life and one of the most important ratios. The Vesica Piscis is a geometric figure formed by the intersection of two circles of the same diameter, with the center of each circle lying on the circumference of the other. Also known as the almond figure, it is considered one of the keys to Pythagorean esotericism.

Seed of Life:

The Seed of Life is at the center of the Flower of Life. It is composed of seven circles, like the seven days of creation. Composed of six surrounding circles and one central circle, for a total of seven, it can be considered to consist of seven seeds of life.

What are the benefits of the Flower of Life?

The Flower of Life is a form of energy that harmonizes everything that is in discord. It continuously regenerates itself, so there is nothing to do to purify it.
This symbol represents creation; that is, the entire universe. The symbol of the Flower of Life is said to be the origin of everything that exists in creation, without exception; all biological life forms, crystalline structures, DNA molecules.
In fact, it indicates that all life comes from a single source. All forms of life are intimately connected to the Flower of Life, which also means that all forms of life are interconnected.

How to use the Flower of Life?

Above all, it is a powerful tool for meditation. But it can be used in many other ways in everyday life.
The Flower of Life can be used to drink energized water: simply pour water into a Flower of Life carafe and let it sit for a few hours before drinking.
The Flower of Life helps purify and recharge crystals. It is also used to create crystal grids.
It helps preserve food, essential oils, and generally any substances you wish to harmonize and energize.
It is also used to harmonize a space, such as a living room, waiting room, or office.
It is very pleasant to wear it; it helps maintain high energy levels throughout the day and serves as protection, making us less susceptible to heavy and unwanted energies.
You can choose jewelry like a pendant or a ring, or wear clothing like a t-shirt for example.
If you like tattoos, you can have a Flower of Life tattooed on your body, and for starters, why not try a temporary Flower of Life tattoo.
