Everything you need to know about the Flower of Life

For about forty years, the Flower of Life has intrigued and created a buzz; in the 2000s, Drunvalo Melchizedek published a two-volume work entitled “The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life”; it is the most comprehensive book that exists on this subject.
Obviously, the flower of life is intriguing, but what exactly is it?

Definition and origins of the flower of life:

The flower of life is a very ancient sacred geometry symbol. It has been found on a number of ancient monuments in various parts of the world.
The oldest known representation of the “overlapping circles” pattern dates back to the 7th or 6th century BC, found on the threshold of the palace of the Assyrian king Aššur-bāni-apli in Dur Šarrukin (now at the Louvre).
Another pattern has also been found drawn on the granite columns of the Temple of Osiris in Abydos, Egypt; it is a figure with five patterns of 19 overlapping circles.
It is composed of 19 evenly spaced circles, which overlap symmetrically.

How to draw the flower of life?

The essential tool is of course the compass. Choose a spacing and keep it until the figure is complete, as all the circles have the same diameter.
Start by drawing a first circle, then a second by placing the compass point on a point of the first circle; the second circle will necessarily pass through the center of the first. Then continue like this and draw as many circles as you want. In fact, this pattern can extend infinitely.

Flower of life and sacred geometry:

The flower of life is a symbol of sacred geometry. It is said to contain a large number of sacred geometry symbols such as the Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, the Vesica Piscis, the Fibonacci sequence… Other symbols such as the seed of life, the tree of life, and the seed of life are derived from it.
It would even have a connection with Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing titled “The Vitruvian Man”, reproducing the human body according to divine proportions.
The flower of life would be related to the golden ratio and the divine proportion, which may have been used to build the pyramids of Egypt and the cathedrals.
Some believe that it is present absolutely everywhere, in all cells, atoms, and molecular structures, and may even be the origin of life.

What is sacred geometry?

These are particular figures because of their proportions or because they appear closely related to the golden ratio (or Phi ratio). They are found on ancient monuments, in nature, and even in the human body.
Let’s detail below the main figures of sacred geometry:

Platonic solids:

Also known as Platonic bodies, these are five polyhedra with specific properties. Their surfaces have the same area; the edges of each Platonic body have the same length; the angles formed by all the edges together are the same; if any Platonic body is placed in a sphere that surrounds it at any point, all its points touch the inner surface of the sphere.
The Platonic solids are the cube, tetrahedron, octahedron, icosahedron, and dodecahedron.

Metatron’s Cube:

It is one of the most powerful symbols of sacred geometry. It is said to be the hidden fruit of life, a figure hidden within Metatron’s cube, according to Drunvalo Melchizedek.

Merkaba:

It is the light body of the human being. In his work, Drunvalo Melchizedek explains the origin of this word. In Hebrew, Mer-Ka-Vah literally means the throne of God and chariot or chariot; in Egyptian, Mer-Ka-Ba breaks down into “Mer” which means light field, “ka” meaning spirit, and “Ba” representing the human body. In fact, it is the light body of the human being.

Vesica Piscis:

It is one of the most present figures in the flower of life and one of the most important ratios.
The Vesica Piscis is the geometric figure formed by the intersection of two circles of the same diameter and with the center of each circle belonging to the circumference of the other. Also called mandorla (almond), this figure is considered one of the keys to Pythagorean esotericism.

Seed of Life:

The seed of life is at the center of the flower of life. It is composed of seven circles, like the seven days of creation.
Composed of six outer circles and a central circle, making a total of seven, it can be considered as composed of seven seeds of life.

What are the benefits of the flower of life?

The flower of life is a form wave that harmonizes anything that is in discordance. It regenerates infinitely, so there is nothing to do to recharge it.
This symbol represents creation, that is, the entire universe. The flower of life symbol is said to be the origin of everything that exists in creation, absolutely everything: all biological life forms, crystalline structures, DNA molecules.
In fact, it reminds us that all life comes from a single source. All forms of life are therefore intimately connected to the flower of life, which also means that all forms of life are interconnected.

How to use the flower of life?

Above all, it is a powerful meditation tool. But it is used in everyday life in multiple ways.
The flower of life is used to drink energized water: to do this, simply put the water in a flower of life carafe for a few hours before drinking it.
The flower of life is a tool for purifying and recharging crystals; it is also used to create crystal grids.
It is used to better preserve food, essential oils, and, in general, all substances that you want to harmonize and energize.
It is also used to harmonize a space like a living room, a waiting room, an office…
Finally, it is very pleasant to wear it; it helps maintain a high level of energy throughout the day and serves as protection, making us less permeable to heavy and unwanted energies.
For this, you can either choose a piece of jewelry like a pendant or a ring, or wear clothing like a t-shirt, for example.
If you like tattoos, you can get a flower of life tattooed on your body. Initially, why not try a temporary flower of life tattoo.
